whatever causes you stress-whether driving in heavy traffic, strained relationships at home or at work, or something else-stress in not new to humans.
if you are dealing with a long-term stressful situation, though, it may be different. anxiety, muscle tension , increased blood pressure, and disturbed digestion may take longer to return to normal. more and more people find that the tension never goes away. for instance, many feel trapped in a dead end job.
how does tress affect your body and health?

Hi Cherwin,
I strongly advocate for healthy lifestyle and self-care practices. WE can always do something to manage and even prevent build up of stress in our body...in our lives. So, every week me and my husband treat ourselves for a home service whole body massage. I tried my best to keep calm and always look at the positive side of things.

That's great! all of us ahs an option on how to carry over our stress.. atleast in your side you know already on how to over-come it..all of us can control our stress but it depends upon on how we reacted on it.. other think that stress is a way of challenge for them..

I have a few medical conditions that flare up when I'm stressed. My immunity goes way down and I seem to get attacked by all kinds of illnesses. To add to that I also get insomnia and muscle aches. All of it just stresses me out more. It's a vicious cycle. So I try my best to avoid stress. But sometimes life just brings you obstacles that will wear you out and make you worry.

stress cascade of neurochemicals and hormones rushes through your entire body, preparing every organ and system for the Red alert stress response. All your senses-including insight, hearing, and touch are involved. your brain quickly reacts, and your adrenal glands instantly release powerful hormones revving up muscles as well as your heart lungs and other organs for whatever might be needed to handle the stressfull situation.

hi cherwin2010 stress does so many numbers on our bodies its not funny. it even raises our blood sugar if we are diabetics.also it raises our blood pressure and causes heart problems. I have an invisible bubble I pretend is all around me so that stress just bounces off it and cannot harm me at all as it cannot get into my body or my mind.My diabetes nurse educator taught me that a long time back and I use it all the time.

that was a good idea to avoid from stress.. everything that surround us anytime can make us to stress it depends on how we handle to avoid it.. we ourselves are the only one can heal to re leave our stress..we are the only one who can control it don't you?

i'm the perfect example. i developed a bad case of hyperthyroidism because of stress. my doctors said, because i was so stressed out, my body was producing dangerous amounts of toxins that eventually messed up my nerves. that time, i had also neglected working out and really just having time to unwind and give my body the rest it deserved so now my body's taking a while recovering.
