Do you really celebrate Father's day and Mother's day? Frankly i will not celebrate these days. But i will remember them. I will make a call to my father and speak to him and i will say happy father's day. What you will do? Share with me.

hi jotomy,
We usually do celebrate...in a simple way..Last Mother's day,we took our mom for a ride, went to see her birthplace and went to this simple restaurant where they cooked her favorite roasted chicken ( 2 hrs traveling time just to get there). Before I used to give daddy a card but now I will wish him Happy Father's day through my prayers and hope he knows that I miss him so much..

My mother, and my husband's mother are both deceased, so we do not celebrate, and my kids did not choose to celebrate with me. I am hoping to visit my dad for Father's Day, and perhaps go see him.

Ho GardenGerty, sorry to hear that both are not there. Why your children will not celebrate dear, hope atleast they wish you over phone, No problem GardenGerty, you make call to them or personally tell your blessing to them. Mother's day or father's day is not only receiving the wishes from our children but also our prayers and blessing i feel, what do you say. Sure you will be happy. As a woman i will not expect anything from my child, but only his happiness. I think your dad will happy when he see you ! thanks for your response. Have a nice day.

I usually celebrate with my parents on those days, having a great dinner with them and buy them some nice gifts. It is really a good day for us to show our love to our parents

Hi mugglecacr, buying gifts and having dinner with the parents will be really happy things. When we are kids we will not be knowing the weight of these things, when we got married and have our kids then we will realize the things what we really lost. Thanks for your sharing.Have a good day.

Yes, on both Mothers Day and Fathers Day, we buy cards and presents for our parents. We try to make it a special day as much as we can. When it is Mothers Day, I usually get cards and presents from my children too, maybe chocolates or a book or DVD or something. I think it is important to show your appreciation for your parents, whatever age you are.

Hi karen, it is nice to hear that you celebrate both days. Actually in India we tell greetings or post greetings. Nothing more than that. But we remember our parents that is there. Now day here also started get to gather parties on Father's day or Mother's day. Yeah, if we receive something from the children we feel happy. Thanks for your nice response. Have a nice day.
