How is your external harddisk?

Do you have an external harddisk? Can you tell something about it? Me, I have an external harddisk with 320gb capacity. It came from Western Digital brand. It's about the size of a passport. It's color is black. It doesn't need power, you just need to connect it into usb port using usb cable. It's plug and play, just like flash drives. But I have some problems with it, it cannot be read in some computers. Like in my office, I still installed a 4-port usb card for my external harddisk to be read. Even it has a huge capacity of 320gb, it's almost full now since I put in it a backup of my 3 computers and some of my DVD collections. Plus files that I have downloaded in the internet and files that I use for everyday activities. I can say it's still a must have. It's good for backup and file transfer. How's yours?

Hahaha! That's really funny. So your external hard disk is a male. Good to know. :) I don't know what's the gender of mine is. Do you care to tell me how to distinguish if it is male or female? Lol!

hi harold yes its really a great thing to have as it has a backup of things i had b efore I had a crash and lost some thing. Myson put that on a year ago and I still have some space on it too. Mine is fine as far as I know.Mine is in a polished metal case.

Hi hatley! It's really good to have one. External harddisk is really good for backup purposes and for transferring of huge files. It's good that yours is still working great. Thank you for your response.

mine is a seagate 250gb external hard drive named Free Agent.
my external hard drive needs a 12 Vold DC power supply.
its a big in dimensions as compared to yours but the speed is good.
i store my backup and softwares in it. i store my softwares in it because i can use them in any other pc easily whenever i need (Because my software collection is quite big)
and yeah an external hard drive is a must.
