I think that your sister is being silly if she asked you to find someone to help and you did the age should not matter. But if on the other hand she did not ask for help or wanted to find someone to help her on her own then that could be why she is a bit upset.

Hi, leonnee. Your sister should be more thankful that you even thought enough about her to bring her a helper. Since you looked out for her, then she should be grateful of your help. Even though the helper was older, and not younger than she should be grateful that you even brought her someone at all. It was very nice and considerate of you to look out for her like you did.

leonnee I think that she wanted someone who would not be more hindrance than help and some older people might not be able to do the heavy work she might have needed done.It was not wrong what you did but you should have asked her what kind of a helper did she want as that might have made a big difference in how she took your offer of a helper.

hi again oh my thats sort of out of the question as you do indeed have'your own life to live. Yes at fifty one is able to do all sorts of things I would not attempt now.She really should have grabbed that lady and put her to work. that would have aided both of them and gave a living to a lady who probabley really needed it.
