Recommended Anti-depressants

I was on Paxil when I was younger for a while and my parents said it was working however I came off of it quickly, I don't remember if I had a reason or it was just because I don't like anti-depressants. I know that there is no wonder drug and I am not asking for one I am just looking to hear about other anti-depressants that have worked for people. I have heard HUGELY mixed reviews on Prozac.
The reason I ask is because I have trouble focusing on things and my family has a long history of depression and mental illness and I want to be able to focus on things i want to do with my life. Depression and my mood is also an issue however it is secondary.
Any input would be appreciated greatly.

I am on Zoloft and Abilify. The Zoloft makes me feel a little like a zombie and I am trying to get my doctor to take me off of it. Instead, she increased the dosage recently.
Anyway, talk to your doctor about Lamictal. I was so happy on them but I broke out in a rash because I am allergic to them. It sucks too because I swear they made me feel better. Now I can't find a good medication as good as Lamictal. Good luck! :)
