I read Wuthering Heights in school a long time ago but I actually bought the book recently to read it again. I don't really have a favorite book. A few classics I enjoyed are: The Scarlett Letter, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Catcher in the Rye, and Of Mice and Men.

The Diary of Anne Frank is a sad but inspiring story. She was such a smart, brave young girl. I have read it a couple of times. I have not read The Catcher in the Rye in a long time. I think I am going to buy it soon. Did you ever read The Great Gatsby? I read the book and saw the movie. The movie was strange.

I've never been able to get through Wuthering Heights, despite multiple tries. So, good going that you were able to. But, one of (can't pick just one) favorite books was by the sister of the Wuthering Heights author. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I love Jane Eyre, mostly because of Jane herself. She's one of my top fictional characters. She's got a strong sense of self, of her own worth, and of what's right and wrong. And, she's strong enough to do what she thinks is right and to say screw the world if they laugh at her for it. And, even though she's a very serious person, she has a sense of humor. I don't know if that makes it important, but I know that's why I enjoy reading it and other people might. And, there's the whole Gothic type love story that some people might find even more interesting than the rest.

yes that is another one of my favorites but one of the most touching books I have ever read was Night by Elie Wiesel I don't know if you read this its about the Holocaust but that too is one of my favorites because it puts the reader in context and makes you realize that the Holocaust was no joke.

I've read a lot of books on the Holocaust, but haven't read Night, yet. I've heard of it, and it's on my list of books to read someday.

hi there fellow reader. Wuthering Heights is a nice book. such a classic. did you enjoy reading it? well, one of my favorite books is Honor Among Thieves. it is quite a powerful story. when i was younger, my book report is Mark Twains: Adventures of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer. I would have done Honor Among Thieves if only I read it first. Honor Among Thieves is a book on partiotism and love for countrymen. It is just fiction though. Somebody is trying steal the Declaration of Independence, and someone ought to stop it...this is the plot.;-)

yes i did very much so i enjoyed how the characters related to Emily Bronte even though they really weren't supposed to.I also enjoyed the irony that lied within every page of the book. It vividly describes the Victorian Period even though the woman in the story was portrayed as helpless in a sense and Catherine only way to feeling in control was her starving herself which was sad to a certain extent.

I had to read Wuthering Heights for school too, but I hated it. I'm a mad-crazy lover of books, but I've never liked a book I had to read for school. I think out of everything I was forced to read I liked two books... To Kill a Mocking Bird, and Pride and Prejudice. I don't think I could really pick a favorite book, but I really love Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and The Last Unicorn.
