Well I am a little mad, I am sorry to my friends if I am not too active here, as I had mentioned earlier this year that I would be setting a website, however when I commission the company to help me with the template, the designer told me it would be a simple task and should not take more than 1 week. However I anticipated some issue and gave them one month, however the dateline has passed and now it has been two week and I have not been able to see my design.

It seems that alot of times the best layed plans take longer than they originally anticipated. If it was done also immediately there may be things forgotten or left off that would really make you mad. I would certainly expect that if they are taking this long to get this done that the end product is perfect in every way.

Ya I have told them and I am waiting for them to come look for me. I guess it is just another chance for them to proof themselves.

Isn't it true, Perhaps they did understand me and that is why I am not given the product that I require, however I think they should at least come to me to discuss rather that just keep quiet and hope I forget.

Finally, they have offer to come to meet me, I guess after some nasty sms, they finally realised that I am not a easy push over, I am not sure how it would turn out but at least I would be getting some updates today.

momof3kids I agree with you that singapore is pretty small, however it happens, that his office is tuas and I stay in Punggol. I should have make consideration before I sign the deal with them.

I definitely agree that you should meet with them. Luckily singapore is so small. If you have time, poke your head over their office every now and then, that will drive them bonkers. I did that when this person refuse to answer my phonecall when she sees my number. Another incident with another person, when she refused to answer after seeing my number, i went to the public phone to call her and hey she answered and was 'caught'..heh heh heh..

Hi Iwrite, So what is your plan now? did you give the company all the requirements needed for your website? are you aware about the reasons why it's taking time to deliver it so you can work on what's lacking to speed up the process? i hope they will respond positively this time and that you will see you website and start a business with it. Goodluck!

msfrancisco9369 Well we even sign a contract about this, and it has been 2 months since we sign the contract and that is why I felt safe, now just very frustrated that nothing is moving, I believe the job is a month job. If they have give me an update on what is going on I would not be that mad. I would not want to source for another company again but it seem my hand might be force.

did you already pay the company for this service? so, did they explain to you what's causing the delay? they need to act on this promptly. if you have the contract then you can always get back to them and even sue them for damages made...

Well complain to them about it. A professional company should not ever do that, and if they do they should compensate you in some way. Ruins their rep to do stuff like this =/

Well Rhazelle That thought did cross my mind, I would see how it goes today before I take my next step. You can say I am a pretty forgiving type. If it all turns out well then I guess I would leave it as it is, however I would not recommend friends to them for business. kukueye, What you mentioned is correct, I have actually met up with another company that ask for 10 times as much but could not meet my requirement which I am puzzled. I went for this not just because it is reasonably priced. But the designer/programmer understood my requirements. Well anyway I have found another who could do it for just about the same price. if it does not work out today, then I would have to go for plan B.

Nowsday website design company are numerous and their service is cheap, they also basically copy and paste template design that is so many avialble in the internet just so some slight improvement and hand it back to the customers.I guess that is no good or bad design as long it is working and satisfy the customers.

yes yresh12, I paid the deposit and lucky i insist on not giving the full amount to safeguard myself. I was thinking if they want the rest they would work faster to get it. I was wrong. StephanieAnnC I sure hope not, I am hunting for another designer, however I do not want to go through the process of redoing the project over again. that is why I am going to

I am sorry to hear that, its really frustrating to experience such situation. Especially if you are expecting too much and then they will disappoint you. Have you contacted the authorities about it. For sure they will have another lame excuses. Sometimes if I am in this situation I would ask for a discounted price to compensate the frustration and by not meeting the deadline.

Well ada8may21 it might be partly my fault when I met them, I may have been to easy going and they took advantage of it. The worst thing is they did not give me update, I have to keep pressing them for update. I felt more like a project leader than a client. I might take this up to the authorities.

Just because you are so easy with them they just ignore your demands. They thought that you are not capable of getting frustrated and get upset. Well I guess you better bring it to authorities so that they will learn their lessons next time when they deal business.

Well gtargirl, I wanted something special, which is out of my league, therefore I outsource the designing and programing to others, beside I am also looking out for future expansion where I know I cannot depend on this company.

I know that feeling only too well and commiserate. People make promises and then don't deliver! I would be very rich indeed if I could have a penny or every broken promise that has not been delivered on. I try my utmost best to deliver on a promise and I often wish that others would do the same thing too. Life would be so much easier. _Derek

the fact that I paid for them to do the work make it even worst, and I felt like I have been treated like a cheap ...something, like my money is not enough and I should not be angry. I am really upset.

Well well, is that company for real, or it's a scam site?? Since that's the dealine they promised u, they should fulfil it by now, instead of letting u be waiting for so long.. HAVe u paid for their services and help?? I guess it's time to move on to another company and not waste your time on them..

It is hard to trust people to do something for you. I have learned to rather do something myself and if i need some help, i will ask someone i trust. If you have too much trouble with that lot, get someone else to do it. We only have so much patients with people like that. Good Luck. TATA.

I'm so sorry that you encountered a wall there. Did you perhaps hire from freelancing sites or just a someone you know? I wish I could tell you everything will be fine. But it seems from your tone that you're already frustrated. You know you could refuse payment and move on to another provider if you want. You have every right.

Well abitcurious, I did try to get some freelancers to do the job, however it is a little trick with my requirements, therefore I prefer to meet the designer/programmer face to face. that is why I chose the company

I feel sorry for you my friend thats really wasting your time. I think you should have him one week not one month, maybe he think you are not in hurry and he make other task as priority. Its just my assumption because I don't really know why he abandon your design. Patient my friend....... or fine other to do it more professional and great time management.

Hello, iwrite! I think you don't need to apologize for your inactivation because myLot is only an interest not a task. All persons have their busy time so they have to leave myLot for a period of time. That's no problem. Regarding the design I should say you mustn't pay all money before you get it. And there must be something in the contract about dateline. The design company should pay penal sum for passing the line.

Hi there, do not expect too much because it gives you more frustrations. It might be the design is not indeed easy that is why the company you worked with for it had to delayed in returning back your design. Do not worry, just keep on communicationg that company and have some positive views that as soon as it is finished it would be return to you.

Well desheree17, I guess I have to have a set of minimum expectations right. If I have engage a designer/programmer and they claim they are able to meet the requirements then they should deliver. I do not think I am asking too much of them, it was agree upon when we sign the contract. Else they could return me the money and I find someone else to do it for me.

I appreciate your frustration. I don’t know very much about web design and I am surprised it’s taking so long. Do you have a contract with these people because if you don’t I would find someone else to do it. I hope you are not losing earnings while you are waiting...Don’t know how to help you except wish you the best and hope they will either finish your website or allow you to find someone who can do it quickly and efficiently.

Oh that was really bad and frustrating. I guess you should always mention it to them and let the\m rush if possible. Well, you should ask them to do it in time so that you will not be the one's to suffer the possible consequences. Hope the design would be done soon. Good luck to you!

Well BrittanyBunny, I wanted some redesigning and reformation of the login, rather than use username login, I requested for email login. which is why I expect to take sometime more than the usually week required. I am not angry at the time taken, I am angry with the lack of update from them. If they face some problems, let me know and we can discuss how to work on it.
