How to get referrals

Ok so I don't want to get flagged for violating mylot rules and stuff but even when I post topics like "who knows any sites that have been verified payouts" people post in the tags that its a guideline violation even though no one is posting links in the forum. I also wanted to ask if posting links on your profile page is wrong because I can't seem to find that in the FAQ or guidelines pages... yes I've been reading them so please don't just post a link and say "its here" please just answer my question thanks! Also is it possible to give referrals links for other site at all on this site even through pm... im confussed I totally thought this was acceptable on this site... at least a year ago when I used to mylot! again thanks for quick responses!
