What do you like most?

Football and Basketball are very popular game in the entire world, but among the two what do you think is the most popular? For I think it is basketball because even in a small area in your backyard you can play basketball and even in a remote areas have a basketball post.

I like Basketball the most because aside from the fact that its the most popular sport in my country, it is more exciting to watch in my opinnion. 48 minutes of shooting hoops, defending and all .. and they get to score a lot of points rather than watching a football game for more than an hour and yet teams can't even score a single goal in some games. What I like about though is the anticipation of a goal and being awed by football tricks and footwork of my favorite players such as Messi and Ronaldo. Still, basketball will always be my most favorite sport.

Thats true, not alot of scores in football but if you actually see the plays and moves they make. To dribble and pass the ball with your feet in a big field with players defending, it is a beauty. You should try playing it first, because you can't grasp the game of football until you play it. Then you'll learn to love the beauty of the game.
I also like basketball because i use to play it alot when i was a kid. However, i just love football. Its more fun for me.

Yeah your right. I think I should really try playing football first before saying something based on opinion rather than experience. I have just played football during P.E classes and my basis of comparison with football and basketball is that football is more tiring rather than basketball. Longer playing field, harder to score. That's about it. :)

This really is a very difficult call. I know that both games are very popular throughout the world and I honestly think that both are played recreationally in the yard on just as regular of a basis. However, given a choice between the two, I would say that it is basketball (at least in the United States) because it is a more mainstream sport than football (or soccer as it is known around here is). Commercially basketball is a much larger money maker.
