This bad news is just both sad and tragic where news has just come in that South Africa's former president has just lost his 13 years old great granddaughter. Zenani Mandela, 13, died when the car she was traveling in flipped on the highway. She was on her way home from a concert to celebrate the start of the World Cup. She was the grandchild of Mandela's youngest daughter Zindzi Mandela, who made history when she read out his speech to a football stadium in Soweto refusing his conditional pardon in 1985, and the eldest child of Zindzi's daughter Zoleka Mandela. This is just so sad, especially when she had just celebrated her 13th birthday on June 9 and her tragic death has really shocked the entire Mandela household especially Nelson Mandela's former wife, who is great-grandmother of the teenager. With the opening match of the tournament just hours away, I just cannot help feeling deeply for South Africa and the Mandela families. I am so sorry to relate this news here and I hope members here will pray for the families and parents of the deceased.
