Has anyone seen Karate Kid starring Jaden Smith?

It's a good movie for the now generation... Well, I've seen the original Karate Kid starring Ralph Macchio so I didn't dare miss this new one.
Wow! This kid, will go places. His good! He got his dads moves, he runs fast too (just like Will Smith is MIB) LOL...
Of course, I didn't miss it because Jackie Chan is in it. I think I've seen all his movies!!! :) For me, there will be no other action star compared to Jackie Chan! :) In this movie, he made me cry... I like his acting scene with Dre in the car.
So you guys, go ahead and watch it!!! It's a really a good movie. Watch it with your kids!!! Enjoy :)

i will already include this in my itinerary for the week.
am expecting that it's a movie for younger people. i guess the movie will speak about issues about the younger generation: discrimination, self esteem, passion, discipline, etc.
it's kinda nice because both Jaden's parents produced the film. the perfect parents for a great kid. ;-)
i am seeing the movie because of Jackie Chan. i love the poster, and i think am gonna love the film even more.
they should take care of this young talent. ;-)

I'm yet to see it but it's definitely on my watchlist. I think the movie trailer is great. One thing i'll watch out for will be to see if it is as good as the original. I really hope it is.

We have not seen it yet. We probably will but there are a couple of other things we want to see first. I love the original Karate kid and even loved the second one with Ralph Machio so I am sure we will like this one. I am sure he is good and that the movie is good and we will eventually see it. I like Jackie Chan so much. He is like the best.. I too have watched all his movies as long as he is in it I don't fail to watch it. I haven't seen Karate Kid, but I will surely watch it.. I know for sure its worth a watch..

ah that's why the title looks familiar..maybe I've already watched it. But I wanna watch the new one also because I think all of Jackie Chan's movies are good. They make me laugh really because a lot of his movies has a comedic flavor. And I love it. Gotta watch this before summer ends. yeah!

I haven’t seen it. I only saw the trailer. Of course it is really good because Jackie Chan is in it. My friend told me that the story was about more on discrimination. I watched all the Karate Kid film from Ralph Macchio part 1 to 3 and with Hillary Swank, My favorite is the Karate Kid Part 2, when Ralph Macchio went to Japan. I love the story and the soundtrack. You know I am very proved of Family Smith, because they are so talented individual.

I saw the original Karate Kid and thoroughly enjoyed that movie. I was not aware that new one had been made, so I will be keeping an eye open for it. I live in a country village and the nearest cinema is quite a way to travel, but I will wait for it to come out on DVD and then get it.

I have seen the trailers and I must admit that I am very much impressed by what I have seen.
Jackie has always been my favourite and to add to is the Will Smith's son. Boy, what a combination!!
And the story., well, it too is red hot and I only hope the producers have not tinkered with the screenplay and made too many changes.
The original was gripping and intense and I expect the same.
But the director of the sequel is the same director who directed the dud "The Pink Panther2"., so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Although I like Jackie Chan's movies, the new Karate Kid movie is good but the original has this charisma that draws audience. The latest remake of Karate Kid is for these present generation and that includes about discrimination.

It looks ok, but why is it called "the karate kid", when he is being taught kung-fu? Shouldn't it be called "the kung-fu kid"? I don't know if something else goes on in the movie, but just from the preview, that is all it shows.
Also, I kind of have negativity towards people who remake movies. They are usually never as good as the originals, but if you tell that to a new generation kid, they will think it is, and that the original is stupid. Just like musicians and songs, I hate remakes of songs! Especially how that one rapper remade and butchered the song "Africa"!

I haven't seen the movie yet. It is nice that a daughter of a well know celebrities are acting in this new movie. I can imagine how proud her parents are. I hope that one day I get to see this movie. I have seen the old karate Kid and it was good. I know that this will be good as well.

I am so not planning on seeing this movie. Why? becuase it should be called "Kung Fu Kid" not "Karate Kid."
As a person of japanese heritage (AND a fan of the original movie), I find it very offensive/ignorant of the people who made this film to make it from a Chinese culture point of view. I really dislike the fact that they kept the name "Karate Kid." It makes it look like they are grouping all asian culture into one big blob.

not yet but i will cos i know this child of will smith will go a long long way in this career just like his father,, the time i saw the movie of them together.. THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS i started to like them.. specially JADEN.. this boy is amazing.. if u havent seen yet the movie THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS i highly recommended it.. u will love the father and son tandem.. for sure!
