China has the largest number of internet users in the world.

Dear friend, I hope the chiense population is number one and this could have been projected in internet users too. Mylot users here chinese are less may be they would use internet for some other ways. Moreover I could not see all the chiense know English.

I think Chinese people are not concerned with chatting more than any other country people and are concentrating more on offline works. As I have heard, they are good labors and they concentrate on production side of any product and dump the same into the world market.

Maybe,there's a site where Chinese are use to gather,or i mean,chatting site or social site that doesn't require English language. Or,maybe,they had their own site,speaking their very own language. Well, the fact that China has one of the biggest populations world wide, hence the reason why they have the biggest or largest number of internet users worldwide.

That is true, but how many want to speak English? Maybe there are a lot of chat sites in mandarin?

hi vijayanths that is odd but it may be because mylot is based in the United States and there is some communist orientation there yet is there not?,look I am not being racist at all,several of my mylot friends here are Chinese but if I remember we really do not have as many Chinese users as you would think we would have.that's sad too as we all can learn so much from each other here and be real friends. Maybe its learning to speak English that deters them but I find that the Chinese I have met here learn English very quickly and seem most intelligent. So I do not really have a good answer.

There are Chinese myloters here on the stite. I have seen there profiles here and I have one or two online friends who are from china here too. I have responded to disscusions from chinesse myloters and started disscussnons on china on mylot. so they are there, I am not sure why you can't fine too many here on mylot. However I would think it has someting to do with the fact the the govement there still sricly controlls the flow of informanton over the media. so there are only so many users that may be able to acess the site.

Just as some people said, the main reason is that only a few Chinese could speak and write good English. In the group of Chinese who are above 20 years old, this proportion is lower. And to those who could use English well, I guess only a few of them have heard of mylot. To those Chinese mylotters, only a few of them visit mylot regularly.

Language may be a problem here for some. But I've met a few whose English is excellent. Sometimes you just can't tell from their usernames.

I come from shanghai,China. I think language is a problem ,most of the chinese people(include me) can not speak English well .The main reason is that we get less information about "mylot",Most of us even do not know what "mylot" is!

The reasin is few chinesa people know MYLot.I think.
