There are really a huge number of discussions that comes in every minute and whether you like it or not, you cannot respond to all but only few of them. Topics are about everything under the sun and you only respond to those which you are interested in and have a knowledge on. I just want to know what do you feel after responding to one discussion. Do you feel proud of yourself that you have done writing a response? Are you happy to see that one of the responses was came from you? You used your mind in making that response so it is a pleasure for you to make it posted and able to read it. You feel relieved once it already been posted, especially if you used a lot of thinking and time for it. After you clicked the go/send button, you will feel excited. Actually for me, every responses we made can already be considered as an achievement. How about you, what do you feel after you respond to a discussion?

I have different feelings depending on how much I was able to contribute to the discussion. If it is a topic I am knowledgeable about I feel more satisfied. If the discussion requires a more extensive response, I am excited. If others have read my response and they respond, wahoo! I like to respond to the discussions that have no responses. I also respond to my friends, my interests, etc

I wasn't aware that someone did not receive credit if no one responded. That impacts my thought pattern even more now when I start a discussion.

It is really a pleasure to share your knowledge and once you finished it and been posted, it really gives satisfaction. Yah, more satisfied if the starter read what you posted and comment on it. Yah, it's also good to respond to those discussions which doesn't has a response because in doing so, you will be able to help him/her earn also for having at least one response. Thank you for responding and happy myLotting as well.

I agree with you. I also try to respond to as many discussions as I can and further the discussion.
It is indeed a really good feeling when your discussion becomes 'popular.' T makes me happy to know that people want to respond to my discussion because it interests them. I like to make discussions that go on for pages and pages as well.

Yes, I need to think a lot, because it's not just the idea that I am thinking, I am also thinking how to deliver it and what words to use. I also have a hard time sometimes constructing sentences since I'm not that fluent in English. That's why just like what you said, i really feel happy every time I been able to make a post. Thank you for your response.

Hi Harold!
When I respond to a topic I can say its a good feeling to express your thoughts and views and especially if your views has been appreciated by the starter and most myLotters.
And when I start a discussion, it gives joy when I can see that it has responded nicely and attract respondents too.
I think its normal to feel excited in that case you are able to respond and share your point of view.
Happy myLotting!

Hi cloud! Yes, you are right, one's a feeling or views has been expressed, it really gives a good feeling since it came from yourself. Plus if it will be appreciated by the starter or other myLotters, it will make you even happier. Yes, in starting a discussion, getting responses can really makes us happy, it means that they get interested with the topic we have started. And I know you are one of those who can be considered as responder magnet, since I have noticed that your discussions always get a huge number of responses. You are really doing a great job and I'm sure you are very happy for that. Thank you for responding and keep up the good work. Take care and happy myLotting as well! :)

Hi harold,
Investing an amount of brain onto a holy discussion I'd rather caught by the paranoia of receiving the best response unless otherwise caught by the feat of getting over confident in that whether the starter chooses me,I've written a quality article!Besides a healthy response takes out the true feeling of the author if not professional which otherwise soothes the psychological urge of releasing the mental overhead!

I guess, it is better for us not to expect that our response will be chosen as BR even though we gave all our best or used a lot of thinking, because we might just be disappointed if we failed to get it. We cannot read the mind of the starter so if we will get a BR, it will just be a bonus. Thank you for responding.

hi harold I feel very happy and lately even more so as I realize how many of my mylot friends really do respond to my discussions and I try so hard to keep up in commenting back. for those who have the mistaken idea that all they need to do to earn piles of money is make a huge pile of discussions and the more responses the more they are paid which is hooey.look we did the work, the typing to respond to your discussions so we get paid for our responses so to get well paid you must comment to our responses.simply put you type and post you get paid, I type and post I get paid.Yes I really do feel each day with each response, comment and discussion I make I have accomplished a lot and have kept up some wonderful friendships too along the way.I enjoy mylotting and it shows as right now I lead in the rankings. I know now I cannot respond to all of my 700 some friends daily help help help he he hge, sob, right now my hands are cramping from typing so long.

Hi hatley! Yes, I know that, we only get paid for the post we made, whether it's a new discussion, a response, or a comment. I do comment on the responses I got but most of the time, I failed to do it for all, specially if I got a lot. It is because I am often busy and actually it takes me quite a long time to make a post or comment since I am not yet that fluent in English, that sometimes, I am still thinking of the right words to say and how to deliver it. But of course I do appreciate all the responses. Yah, it's obvious that you are really enjoying your time here in myLot, it can be seen in your myLot rating, you are almost 30,000 now. Wow! You are definitely the leader and the most active myLotter. What I can say is keep up the good work and thank you for always being present. Have a great day and happy myLotting! :)

Hi Harold! I think that responding to a discussion makes me
feel a number of different feelings. It depends on the discussion.
I definitely feel like I have given my thoughts and feelings
and sometimes I have hopefully given some knowledge on certain
topics that maybe someone might not have known! I really enjoy
responding to different topics! And it also makes me feel like
I am part of a community, which is what mylot is! And, yes I
feel proud that I am participating in something that I can
share with my friends here!

Hi opal! Yes, in responding, we don't just intend to give our views but we also want to share knowledge and help others. Yah, that is what myLot known for, sharing ideas and helping each other. We should really be proud to be a part of myLot community. Thank you for your response.

I always feel good after I have responded to any discussion including yours!. The fact is, I love to write and My Lot helps a great deal with this. I suppose you can respond to any discussion as it's based on personal opinion but it helps if you have particular knowledge as regards what is being discussed.
I like the fact that your responses are open for everyone else to read and in a sense it feels like we are being published on a daily basis! There are two types of discussion that I avoid like the plague though and they are Religion and Politics! I won't touch these subject areas as there's so much passion involved and it can lead to serious conflict in discussions, not always but a fair amount of the time!
Overall I enjoy my time at My Lot and I enjoy searching through the different discussions and choosing the ones I want to respond to. Andrew

Hi Andrew! First of all, I'm thankful that you have chosen to respond on this topic of mine. Yes, it really feels good after we have made a post, whether it's a response, comment or a started discussion. It's really in favor to those who likes to write just like you. But of course, this is for everybody, and anyone is welcome to share their thoughts, views and ideas. Yes, we can respond to any discussion but we will be able to share more and intelligently to those we have knowledge on. It really feels good every time we saw our response posted. Yah, I seldom respond to topics regarding politics and religion as well. Again, thank you for your response and happy myLotting!

When I want to submit a response at first I feel like my answer is not as good and sometimes I feel like writing more. I make sure I read my response before I submit it because it happened once to write in a hurry and I confused Lithuania with Latvia so I check twice from now one before I post a response

Yah, I also do the same, reviewing first before we finally let it go. It is actually a good practice to review or read it again before finally posting it. It will helps us avoid committing errors. Thank you for responding!

That's a very interesting question. I can say that after my responding to one discussion I feel kinda proud like you said because I wrote it on English (English is not my mother language) but in most cases, after responding to discussion I feel happy because I earn money. But I really don't care what people think about my response, the only important thing to me on this site is earning money.

I agree too! your English is easy to understand to native speakers, like myself. I must say that earning money shouldn't be your only goal here though. There are so many friendly people on here and interesting discussions. You should really just have fun interacting with people. I must admit that I came here for the money at first too, but a week later, I have been obsessed with the atmosphere and not just the money making. Maybe you will be too. Good luck!

For me, it's a mixed emotion. Just hope that I did share something on it, though sometimes I feel that what I shared is not that enough. And since this site is all about sharing opinions, I believe that everyone is entitled to our very own way of expressing and delivering our opinions.

Yah, what important is we shared, and it's just based on our own mind. We are all free here to express our feelings and whatever we wanted to say, as long as we are not getting rude or being offensive to others. Yes, we have different ways of sharing our opinions and the good thing here is it's very seldom that you will see people criticizing other's response. Most of people here respect every posts. Thank you for your response.

Being a newbie to this site and reading all the discussion that are started and actually seeing quite a few that I have always had questions about or wondered if people feel the same way as me, I love answering as many as I can knowing that I have posted my opinions, concerns or even had a few of my own questions answered, as well as making a bit of mula while I am doing this. I get excited when I push the send button, sometimes a bit aprehensive wondering if people will read what I wrote and think I am a idiot, but then I also try to tell myself I don't know these people and hey everyone is entitled to a right of their own opinions and ideas.LOL and also I worry about my spelling knowing I am not the best speller and I am concerned people won't be able to understand what I am saying!!

Welcome to myLot! I'm glad you're having fun here. I love it here too! I've only been here for three weeks.
We are really friendly here, so the percentage of people thinking you are an idiot for your response is quite low. I definitely understand what you're writing! Your spelling isn't horrid! Everyone makes the occasional typo!

It depends on the topic or the reason why I responded to such a topic. Most of the times, I'm happy and contented because I have shared my thoughts. On other times, I feel ticked because of the offense I see from the person who responded or started the topic.
There was one topic I started wherein there were people who didn't get what I meant and assumed I was being racist and such that I actually made me cry and asked the administration to erase the topic I started. I really felt bad every time I read the responses there of the same people.
Well, that was a few years ago. I was naive then and overly sensitive I guess.

just like most members here, i am also one that do not understand or speak English very well, as i also came from an Asian country, where English is only second or third language. so reading and understanding the thought of a discussion will take time to get into my mind translating it to my native tongue. and it will also take a lot of time to translate within my mind, my response and comments. it is always a relief for me when i post a response, especially if the host came from English speaking country like the US and Canada.

We can't possibly respond ro every discussion on mylot. There just isn't enough time in the day for it. I like to respond to discussions that peak my interest. i like to respond to discussions that leave questions unanswered. It gives you something to ponder throughout the idea. Some responses even trigger a new point of view or topic for a new discussion. You just never know how a response will make you feel until it is there. happy mylotting everyone!

I'll be honest, the amount of discussions and which discussions I respond to, depends on my mood. There are times where a discussion might not be interesting today, but tomorrow it will be something that I just have to comment on. Still it is a good feeling when I have put my input in. I just hope that someone could get something out of it. Whether it be amusement or genuine help. At least I am satisfied if there is some value.
Every response has the potential to help someone in some way. Even if the help is just brightening their day by some amusing story that you tell that relates to the topic at hand. You'd be surprised how much that can help a person when they are down in the dumps. Therefore, I go with each post, trying to make it valuable in some way to the best of my abilities.
