Hi MyLotters,
Movies should be made such that people could learn a lesson from it and it shouldn't be like a wastage of time-without a message at the end of the whole session. What do you think MyLotters?Let me know.
Thanks,
Happy My lotting!!

I believe it can go both ways. I normally watch a movie for the sake of being entertained but learning something from a movie is ok as well. I just wouldn't want to watch one that i have to learn a lesson from all the time because then I'd get tired of movies pretty quick.

Well, I haven't seen AVATAR yet. But, it also depends on what that message is. There can be good and bad messages sent in movies. People can learn both good and bad things in movies. That is something that really depends on the viewer. Could they make more movies that entertain as well as leave a message? Sure they could. Would I be upset if saw a movie that didn't have an important message or moral in it? Absolutely not. Because when I watch a movie it is for the sake of being entertained and escaping from the real world for awhile.

Hi,
Do you support me in that the directors could create movies that entertains and at the same time leave a message like in AVATAR?

This is rather a holy intention for me. But let's face it, not all movie producers would be wanting to produce a movie with a theme of giving pure lessons at the end. Some would really do it for money or for more income. Movie making is popularity and in today's trend, many movies are produced with sexy themes, violence and all that. So maybe the intention of having a movie with good intention to teach are still present and should be present. In cases where this is not possible, the rest will all depend upon the viewers. People have different taste.

Hi Rowena,
That's the holy judgement I wanted.Directors shouldn't make films so that it becomes a waste.Movies should be used as an awareness to people and to learn them who are not educated but wanted to be entertained by visiting theaters.

In some ways I agree. I think that is a good idea overall. However, I hate politically motivated movies they really make me mad! I don't mind some types of "learning" movies. But sometimes when I want to watch a movie, I just want to be entertained! I am watching it because I am tired and life has drained me... so in general I agree, just not totally!

Hi Mac,
I was not talking about the movies you don't like.I'd rather want to know that when you watch a movie and learn something from it,do you apply the lesson in your life?

Everything has a message or meaning, the problem is that many people fail to see it. Many movies that people would say have no value and are a waste of time have a hidden moral about something to deal with life. The question is are you will to take that message in. For me, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. There are often times that I watch a movie just for the pure pleasure of being able to not have to think about it.
