Cannabis Sativa is the scientific name of Marijuana. Marijuana was used for making ropes and clothes before it was discovered as a drug. It contains delta 9 Tetrahydro cannabinol. Which has many therapeutic effects such as lowering the IOP, relieving nausea and vomiting and enhances appetite like in treating anorexia. A little information from what I learned in our Substance Abuse lesson.
