Healthy & Fit beggars, DO SOME WORK.

Hi Ajay Singh Baghel: I can't understand this either. I think there's no reason to give money to a person that can look for a job or at least do something and it's worst when it's evident that they don't have a real need to do this. I think people should help themselves before begging, this should be the last alternative. Thanks for starting this discussion. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Don't knock the Beggars! When you see them, they are working at their job, and they are quite probably making more money in a day than you. Its not that easy begging, because most people look down on you, some even swear or spit - but its all part of their chosen job. Some sit on their folded legs all day (making it look like they are crippled) This in it's self is enough to put their health at risk. Others will bring a young child along to make it look like they need money to feed the child. Next time you see a beggar working, Don't feel guilty when you walk past! Feel sorry for the hard working Beggar who has to Beg long and hard, to earn More money every day than You!

My husband is perfectly fit and healthy and while he's not stooped to begging he doesn't have a job. Maybe the beggers have been out of work even longer than my husband and are desperate. My husband has been looking for months and can not find a job. Just because someone is physically able to do a job doesn't mean someone will actually give them the job that they need.

I have also seen many beggars that are capable of doing some work. I know some disable people that do not resort to begging but preferred working. Its really a shame that strong people cannot work on their own instead just resort to begging. That's why I ignore these people.

Begging is norm in this era of society.most pity are those handicap and child beggars.My country got problems with foreign syndicate using children as beggars.But there some genuine beggars who are missing limbs like hands and legs, some with crocked bad bone and such.Often blind beggars walking around asking for alms aided by a younger man or children.Usually i give some alms to the handicap beggars and also the mentally challenged beggars with croocked bodies. Last time beggars are very rampant but now the government agencies often take them away to their care centres.Healthy and fit beggars should work indeed.I think some can work in restaurants and food court areas washing dishes and some taking orders and delivering food to the customers.There they can get foods and salary.However in my area there is 2 well know young health fit beggars, however , they are mentally disturbed.

I don't give money to the beggar who have healthy body.In my country,there are many beggars is scam.The beggars are organized by someone.The leader of the beggars' earn money from them.So when i meet beggar,i give money to the disabled persons,would not give money to healthy beggars.

In my place, begging is rampant - in the streets, in the church entrance, in front of any establishment, you name it and you can find them there. There are some beggars that really need some help and some are just dressed in disguise. I help those I see that really needs help.

my friend karisma she gets everything she wants. She has polo,areopostle, Hollister,she gets alot of money she has a i pod and laptop and juicy couture and alot of other stuff but does not mean she is rich half of the stuff she has i dont have. Also people in Jamaica think people in american are rich.But they dont know that we have it hard as they do.

yeah true same here..there's this one beggar that I see everyday in front of the church or anywhere else in the plaza at some school and he always begs eventhough he's healthy and looks strong because he's guy..sometimes I also see him working by selling plastics and bottles at a junk shop but then it' rare and my classmate once saw him at a food chain eating a burger..well maybe he got a bonus.

I have also seen so many people who are healthy begging at the streets its that they have taken it as a business.Even people who are capable of working well move on to begging because it gives them an easy way of living.I recently read an article where they were talking about a controversy in which servants from houses who were baby sitting small children take these babies in their arms and go for begging and before the parents return they reach back home.
