Another tip: You should know the background of the company you are applying with. The employer might ask you about the mission and vision of the company, if you can answer them then they will surely think that you are interested to be part of their team. Good luck to you! :)

That's a great tip. I should definitely try to learn more about the company I am applying to so that I wouldn't be dumbfounded if I have a chance for an interview. Thank you again.

Before applying for a chosen job, prepare your resume in way that your future employer will approve or accept you for employment. Search the internet on how to present yourself in a job interview like your dress code or attire. Do not wear denims or maong. Dress yourself as if you are already accepted for the job being applied for. You have a very tough competition in hunting for a job. Good luck!

Yes, I definitely need to work on my resume more. I have found a lot of good sites on the internet that shows how to perfect a resume and I am still working on making mine better. The internet definitely offer a lot of resources. I also have some dress clothes (my mother's mostly) prepared in case of an interview. Thanks for your advice.

Applying for any jobs is not really easy but also not that difficult. You should start knowing yourself before creating an impressive resume. Make sure every details in your resume is true. Highlight your skills and what you can do for the company. Ask yourself, how can I be an asset for this company? After such, right down your experiences if you have any. Now, your resume is ready. Look for a job and apply for them. You should have a decent cover letter so that you will attract the employer to know more about you. Do not apply for a job if you are not sure about it.

Writing my resume was very difficult for me because I have no idea what skills I have or what I am good at doing. On my resume, all I have down is my education level and experiences that I hope relate to the job. I definitely need to put more thought into perfecting my resume. I'll try and see if I can find out a little more about my own skills and try to put them on paper. Thanks for your response.

I used to feel that way too. I had this feeling that maybe something's wrong with me that's why I can't get a job but I was persistent and I did not give up until such time I landed in a job. Just keep the hope alive. You might also want to read the book What Color is your Parachute. It really helped me a lot in finding a job.

Actually now a days companies take test and interview with out any reason and when they are not looking for any person to enter the office. they take it because they need replacements when some one leaves the Job they call people who are already being interviewed and then they select one of them
some times they need some one to join but they don't find suitable person for that.
there are so many reasons for what they can reject you. but hey, don't feel bad you will find a very good Job and you will be very happy. what ever happens there is some thing good in it for you. so just think positive, ALLAH is watching you and he will never let you face a problem which you cant handle. so, be patient you will get a good and suitable job for you :)
take care

Yes, there are so many reasons why a company would want to reject an applicant and they don't always have to be personal. I hope I do find a good job some time soon in the future. In the meantime I will try to stay positive and not beat myself down because of it. Thank you for responding.

Here in the UK it's exceptionally hard to get a job, with mass unemployment rising and companies going to administration all the time, more people are put out of work so the amount of applicants going for one job is reaching an all time peak. I remember in the local paper the job section used to be about 8 to 10 pages now they fit all the available jobs on one page. Sad but true.

YOu can find it. Just be patient and don't give up. There are many job seekers who can relate to you. Some people make a ways just to get a certain job. Maybe, broaden your search. In the meantime, find something else to do to keep yourself busy. DOn't be stuck by the thouht that there's something wrong with you. In this present age, where most people are advancing their career, compititions are very high. However, in the long run, you can find the job that's really right for you.
Job hunting is really a tedious job. So exhausting most of the times. Every job seekers can relate to that.
If you are sending your resume through e-mails, sometimes your message will be directed to junk folder. Better be, submit it in person or mail it to the post office. Tell your circle of friends and family that you need a job. It;s also helpful.

I think that if I told you I wanted to climb Mount Everest you should still say I can do it I wish I was also as optimistic. Still, I will continue my job search and hope that I can find a good job for the summer and earn some money to pay for college. I'll definitely make sure I don't miss any e-mails from potential employers. Thank you for your response.

Thank you for the kind words. I agree that if I want to improve my life, it should be me who puts in the effort to do so. I can't do anything about the economy but I can apply myself and hopefully find a job. Even if I don't find a job, at least I have tried and can find comfort in the fact that I at least made an effort. Thanks and happy mylotting.

Don't take it personally. There are just so many people looking for jobs that it makes it really hard to be the best. People are snagging jobs that they are way over qualified for because they simply need to make money. That messes up the people that are applying for jobs that they are qualified for. It's a vicious domino effect. Keep after it. Eventually you will find something that will work for you. Good Luck!

Yes, there is so many people looking for jobs. I've also heard that a lot of people can only find jobs that they are over-qualified for. There's people with Ph.Ds who can only find work as sales associate. hopefully, the labor industry would improve soon. Thank you for your support.

hi ,long time no see ,remember,I am in my holiday too.As for a job,I have also planned to find a parttime job to earn some money for shopping or any other thing, but it is too hard. You know,China has a large population, and there is too much people to apply for job.Actually, there are several companies replaied me and ask me to have an interview, but what a pity,I had several important exams at the time ,so I missed the interview.
Don't worry and don't be unconfidence,I think you will find a job sooner or later if you try hard.

I think you should choose a few of them which you like most or is most possible to receive your application, then focus on them, prepare your application material more and more carefully, and put your expectation lower. Maybe you'll get a better result.
But now jobs are difficult to find all over the world, even for the persons who have already graduated from universities, so don't be frustrated if you get nothing. It's not your problem.
Best wishes to you and Happy Lotting!

That's a good suggestion. I have been applying to so many places that I probably didn't put as much thought into my applications as I would have if I only applied to a few places. Maybe I should just choose a few places and work on the applications. I know it's difficult for everyone to find a job Thank you for your wishes. Happy mylotting to you too.

But i have looked at a lot of work industries. I've applied for work as a cashier, as a sales associate, as a cook helper, as a dog walker. I can't find work anywhere. I don't know if there is any job fairs near my area but I will try and see if I can find one. Thank you for your advice.
