my compaq laptop 's battery is all gone...

First of all you should talk to compaq peopel to replace the battery, I think they should do it if its not even a year. I am using Dell Inspiron 1525 , almost 2 years and its very good for me, never had any issues with the battery or any charging problems.

Well from your comments i understand u are into buying a new laptop from DELL. well if its only for the battery your are planning for a new laptop then don't buy. buy a new battery or ask compaq since its below 1 year you might get a warranty . atleast you can fight for a free replacement. Its not the problem of the companies. In my case i have 2 Dell laptops. 1 is Inspiron 1720 and another one is XPS 1330 . For 1720 the battery condition is like yours. very bad. for the 1330 it rocks.. So please reconsider our decision

We have two laptops in our house and the batteries of neither of them are able to hold a charge. This is very frustrating at first, because you don't have quite the same amount of mobility that you are able to have on a laptop that is able to hold a charge because you have to be plugged up all the time. However, my husband and I have decided that it is better to have to be plugged into the wall than to spend the exorbant amount of money that it would cost to buy another battery.

hi himanshuorange, I have two laptop, Asus and Compaq. My Compaq is Presario CQ40 and I purchased it last August 2009 and have no problem with it~ yet. You may return it to the store because my Compaq has one-year warranty.
