they are the ones who gave you freedom? i hope you are a filipino. because according to my asian history subject when i was at 8th grade, philippines did not get the freedom long before late 1940's. What i have learned from school is with the help of Dwight Eisenhower US PRresident.. That is only US saved you from Japan and Japan wasn't your prime colonizer. It must be Spain or USA right? Please tell me exactly as I wanted also to know...

US set my country free on july 4 (US independence day) but Manuel Quezon changed it to June 12, when Aguinaldo Declared Independence against the spanish. maybe if US didn't colonize this country, then june 12 would have been truly authenticated.
