I have one eye glass for working at kitchen or other house work etc. But that glass is not comfortable for watching TV and working before computer. So I have one eye glass for working and another for computer and TV. What about you? Do you wear eye glasses? If so, do you use only one glass for all purposes or more for different purposes?

I use three pairs of glasses because I like to have a pair of glasses by the computer (they get misplaced if I move them) and another near the TV. The eyeglasses to read "live" in my handbag, but they wander about. Happy posting!

Hi Buchi - its been 20 years in front of computers. :) So far, I have not got glasses. The last time I visited Dhrishti, Dr Reddy asked me why did I visit him? I said I am in this profession for the last 15 odd years, and I use it for almost 12 hours per day, so I must have problems with my eyes. He laughed and said, if you have you will know. As of now, I dont. :( I love those glasses, they look so dignified. More than that, they look good on my face. But I dont get to wear them! :( Some people have all the luck in the world. :(

Oh my goodness, here is someone who says wearing glasses is looking good. Touch wood, I wish your eye sight will remain good for ever. May be your mother gave lot of carrots and karisilonganni green leaves (kooraku) more in your childhood. Do one thing. Just like how actors wear false eye glasses with only frame in Films, you too go to optical shop, buy only the frame and wear at home to satisfy your desire. By mistake if you wear it outside, then people will say, 'what happened, till yesterday she was ok is it not?'. Ha Ha Ha come on do not get angry yar.

Buchi - I am serious. I have the face structure on which glasses and goggles look good. I used to try out my colleagues glasses, and everybody would say I look really good in them. Even in hostel, girls used to say glasses make me look good. Of course, some frames. :) I just hope I get to wear them before my face crinkles up completely. :)

Hi Buchi, I don't wear glasses when doing household chores, like cooking in the kitchen, tidying house, ..... I still could see every thing clearly. I feel more comfortable and relaxed without the glasses. I have a pair of glasses which is for reading and computering. It's for near distance only. It's designed for computer users. I was told that the glasses could protect our eyes for cutting down the harm of looking at the glaring computer screen for long time. I put on another pair of multi coats glasses when watching tv or going out. It's for all purposes to see thing clearly at near and far distance. Though I still like to wear the former one when seeing thing in near distance for I feel more comfortable Happy posting and have a nice day

Yeah, it's really convenient to wear the multi-focus glasses, for a pair of glasses is enough for me with problem of both the near sighted and presbyopia to see thing. Our eyes have diminished the ability to focus on near objects caused by the natural course of aging

Hello Buchi_bulla. I wear only one pair of glasses. Mine is a pair of near-sighted glasses. I don't need reading glasses yet. I am not sure whether I will need one in the future as I am near-sighted. Have a good day.

I wish you do not require eye glasses to read even in future. Have a good eye sight always. I read somewhere that Chinese people follow lot of home remedies from childhood and your health will be good in general. That way also you will have a good eye sight. God bless my friend. Take care.

I have the same glasses for everything. I can't see anything without my glasses...let me re-phrase that..I can't see anything properly without my glasses. So, I need them all the time from the time I am up in the morning. I use the same glasses. But these are my glasses for home. When I go out, I wear my lenses. And when I wear glasses when I am out...I have a different set for outside wear...more sleek and stylish...that's just because it looks good. The home ones are more comfortable because they are sturdy.

Well said SViswan. Home use eye glasses should be sturdy as we rough use it in the sense we keep aside and take it back quite often. Whereas outside wearing glasses should be fashionable, giving good looks to our face.

I rarely used eyeglasses only try the protective eyeglasses. It work perfectly for me to avoid having a teary eyes when browsing the internet. Maybe in the futeure when i am already old and have poor vision. It is then I would have an eye check up to check my eye vision if still normal or not.

I don't have separate eyeglasses for those purposes. However, I do have some prescription sun glasses for driving. I really like them too. I wear my main glasses all the time (except for sleeping!) they also have bifocals.. which my sunglasses do not have. So I can't wear my sunglasses into the store or anything...well I can.. I just can't read any labels!

spectacles - It is good to have separate glasses while being on the pc
My computer is on the first floor and my tv downstairs. I have two pairs of glasses one of which is permanently kept near the computer which is also photochromatic that takes care of the glare of the pc screen and the other one which is kept downstairs is used for general purposes such as watching tv and reading, etc. as most of my other activity is downstairs.

Yes there are plain glasses which do not have any power. This is for people to protect from computer radiation. If we have power, then accordingly doctor will give suitable eye glasses for that.
