What do i tell me girlfriend when shes crying?

She just got forced out of her house.
Currently staying with me.
When she cries saying she misses her family i really dont know what to tell her.
I mean should i just say "Its ok let it all out" or "Its ok theres no need to cry about that"
Any suggestions?

Say nothing. Seriously, nothing. A lot of times, a girl will need to cry or talk and it isn't because she is seeking solutions, it is just how they work things out in their own heads. A lot of times the best thing you can do is be there, and listen. You don't have to have all sorts of little pearls of wisdom to offer. If you just hold her, listen to her and let her cry, you are already doing everything she needs you to. It's hard, I know that, but I strongly suspect it is exactly what she needs.
