Well, I for one is the type of person who usually jives in to other people - as much as I jive well with my brother. We are only 2 siblings. I am the eldest. Well, in the family, we never really cease to compare our standings. I am a journalist and a public speaker while my brother is a math genius and the sorts of that. I am the lazy kid - but not to the extent that I do not do chores, and my brother is the DILIGENT one - having able to accomplish a lot of house chores. And he mocks me for having good grades but no having a good house standing. Yeah, it sorta offends me a little but it made me think that that was my brother's way of saying "I'm proud of you big bro." It really makes a mark when a close tie says to you: "Way to go dude, that was cool!" but it really elevates you when your brother teases you for having such a good deed done. My friends really make me laugh to my knees but my brother still makes me laugh until i drop. i love him for that and for his being. :)

I have a brother who is younger and sometimes I feel that I am very fortunate to have him as my brother. He is very different than me. When we were kids we were very close. But after I went abroad for my education we became somewhat formal. Now when we stay together I am not able to share the secret with him. Your discussion made me nostalgic.

I remember how I can't beat my brother in an argument. When I said, "blood is thicker than water", he replies, "but loyalty is thicker than blood." Then I imagine a knight giving up his life for the sake of the King and his kingdom. And I told him, "in that case, "you're the king and I'm the knight." :-)

It's very common for brothers and sisters to fight. Many are lucky to become best friends. Personality and uniqueness play a large role on how they will get along. It is very usual that you and you're brother will have difference cause you are unique with one another. But in the end, yes, blood is thicker than water. No matter what you do or he will do, of course, your family will be by your side and will be proud of you...take care, danly...I hope you'll do good here in mylot. Just enjoy...
