Why do people think they're going to make so much money online?

Hey Gemma! I have never had anyone prove to me that they can positively make alot of money online without spending any! I have seen alot of these sights that profess to "make you rich" if you send them such and such amount of money! I am not going to send any money! I have no problem doing a legitimate job, and getting paid! I did that for most of my life, but I will not be Scammed! So, to this day I don't believe that it is possible, unless there is a catch!

I went and read the article...it seemed to me the person who wrote it lacked confidence. I have been successfully earning online for many years. I pay my bills and I pay my taxes...the only thing different is I do it from the comfort of my own home. Anyone can earn online by doing their research...setting goals...and taking steps everyday to reach those goals. Enjoy the rest of your weekend

I think people come to the internet expecting it to be easy to make money online, when in reality it's not. It requires time, effort and dedication. It certainly won't happen overnight unless you get extremely lucky.

I would really have to agree with this guy. You really can't make too much online, it's just way too hard. You really can't expect all the others to do good for you because everybody's greedy, and the people who refer you will be as well. If he can't get much money, then he'll end up quitting, and you won't earn much and you will be put on the same position. My wish is to just be able to make few hundred dollars per hour online (which seems possible at the moment, but hard.) Good luck :P, have a good time.

i think now people just lazy to work hard. they always expect to shortcut, so it is very easy to be deceptive.

earning online is by far the easiest way to earn extra bucks why? you are in the comforts of your home no one controls your time other than you you can take coffee breaks whenever you like i think you get my point kidding aside i've known a lot of people making money out of this and they're doing good BUT i dont think this should be your main job because field experience is a thing that everybody should enjoy and learn from it and socializing personally is still different also too much leaning on online things is not socially healthy lets just say earning online is just for the payment of bills but not for your sole survival.

unless you have an earth changing idea like ebay or something, i seriously think that the only people that make a ton of money online are the ones that scam others.

Not so sure of how I feel about this article. I read it but found myself not necessarily agreeing with the author. I am proof that you can earn money online. Yea, it's tough work.......you have to spend some time and effort to earn, but to me it's worth it. I would be spending time online anyway, surfing the web or some other nonsense, so I might as well be earning too! I have a full time job and earn money online as just a little extra cash, so I'm not hurting in any way if I don't make millions.

I think people believe that you can make a lot of money by putting very little effort into it because a lot of people are always looking for shortcuts instead of actually working hard for something. That's exactly why all these diet pills and miracle diets are so popular as well. People simply don't want to think that the only way to loose weight or make money online is to work hard for a long time.
