Whatever you are is it because God really matters?

What would happen if God reveals himself to you? Would you suddenly become an altruist if you learn that there is God? Conversely, in terms of concrete choices would you stop trying to be a good person if it were revealed to you that there is no God? Whatever you are is it because God really matters?

Somehow I am convinced that God needs to be praised in order that He is there for us. And this belief has worked for me. I would not want anyone to convince me otherwise as that would only disturb the hornet's nest!!

Whatever I am; I am thus because God does matter to me. Would I turn bad if I know if God does not exist? No, It would not make a difference to me because still I would remain what I am what I am. I would still try to be good. What about you?

God's presence is so ingrained in me that I would not know what it would be if it was otherwise. We do not do certain things because of punishment and perhaps the same applies here too? I really do not know.

For me personally, its completely irrelivent if god exists..any god...I holds no bearing on me or my life at all so if it were to be proven to me that he/she/it did in fact exist it doesnt matter. I am a good person because I choose to be and its just a part of who I am. No higher power has any part in it. What you put out is what you get back and I choose to put out as much positive and peace as I can because thats what I desire and need in my life and for that of my kids etc...

I envy you, wish everyone could be like you. Once God knows this he would make a hasty retreat from this world. Thank you for your response.

It Definitely matters. Whatever, I am is because of God, because I know what he wants of me and how exactly I have to live dignified. If it were like no God, I still wouldn't go on killing people, but definitely not try to be as better a person as I possibly can!

The simple Fact is that God has revealed himself To us all many times. It hasn't Changed us very much.
Look at the Crusades Or Any War. Does God favor one side over the other? No. They both take losses. The bible says He makes it rain upon the righteous and the unrighteous. The only time something changes is when we stop thinking in terms of what can God do for me, and switch to what does God want me to do? The simple revealing doesn't really change anyone, It's the person that makes the decision to change that matters. And only those people get his favor.

I know God has revealed his divine presence through excellent persons like Jesus, Christ, Gautama Buddha, Guru Nanak, Mohamed but this did not make difference to some in the world. Some changed and became good and some remained bad. I had addressed this question to you. What difference God would make in your life, or it would not make any difference.
