I have a son that is 10 years old. He has been diagnosed with major depressive disorder w/psychosis and general anxiety. I want to find other parents that are going through something like this. He has been in the hospital 3 times all in tha past 3 months. He has attempted suicide and I am deeply looking for support. You can read our full story at www.takingtheblindersoff.com/myblog. Please help me start a discussion on this topic or one like it. I need to know there are other people that are going through this.

hi kestep I do hope you find some mylotters here who hare gone or are'going through the same thing you are. i am so sorry your little boy is ill like that. I can image how frightening it is for him to hear those voices. I read your blog and am deeply touched by all you are going through. I saw you have not been able to find a support group for parents who have children like your son. There must be some other parents who are going through the same things 'so its just a matter of finding them. I know how it is with some doctors as I myself as a diabetic get irritated that my own doctor cannot seem to take a little more time and hear my questions. But you have a much more serious problem with your son and I hope you can soon find some answers to at least some of the questions you have. I will myself do some researching although I am sure you have undoubtedly already done that but sometimes one can luck out. 'take care God bless you all. hugs from hatley.

Hatley, Thank you and thanks for the "hugs". :) Please let me know if you are able to find anything. I find things for wives, husbands, ect but have not been able to find any for children. Let me know if you do find something. I am sure there has to be other parents out there that are going through this or something like this it just seems like people sweep it under the rug...hush hush style. Again, Hatley, thank you for looking for us. Kestep
