How to get traffic for blog or site?

This is really a hard things to do so only asking advises from you so what do you think is the best way to promote our blogs and websites and drive traffic to them.

I use traffic exchanges. They are quite good. You have traffic to your site/blog plus you earn some cash :)

Kingsizewe you have got a point there i also use some forums to get traffic to my sites but i also used easyhits4you surfing site for sometime now but the thing is that i dont get any results its just that i dont get the right people to my blog and also to say traffic exchangers are time consuming
