Yes, horoscopes are believed more in our country and it is a long age custom to find matches with it in arranged marriages. But that cannot be followed fro love marriages at all. I haven't heard any loving couple would agree to separate if they can't be matched by horoscopes.

Well I personally believe that marriages are made in heaven, so loving couples'horoscope will surely match, otherwise they won't be in love...

That is over confidence. If that is true that marriages are made in heaven why loved and married couple end in divorce a lot? And it also happens in horoscope matched marriages. I look this as sarcastic one to analyze the horoscopes for lovers. Just allow them to live together and they may decide their destiny.

Hahaha...That's their destiny, to get separated. I do not blindly believe entirely in horoscopes, but I do believe in destiny, if u r destined to get something u will surely get it.

Hi Durga,
Mine was an arranged marriage and i am married for 4 years and are very happy. Our marriage they did not see any horescopes. We belong to a community were family and the charecter of the bride groom is considered first prefernce and not the horescope. We believe in God and not in horescope.

I think all Hindu communities in India have this ritual of matching the horoscopes before marriage and we Bengalis are no exception. Even within the Bengali community there is this process of matching horoscopes though now I think it is not that widespread or mandatory. With education making people less superstitious and people marrying outside their communities in different places far away from home, it is not always possible to match horoscopes before marriage. Ours is a love marriage going strong for 14 years now…our parents never thought of matching our horoscopes though both hubby and me have our horoscopes at home…we just wanted to get married and we did.

Horoscope matching is a very bad idea. The true love of my life did not match with me. Did we always get along??? Don't count on that!! It was glorious!!!! Though cancer claimed her life, she will always be with me. Where would I be if I listened to horoscopes? I would have missed the best my life had to offer. Want a great marriage??? Never settle for anything less than true love!!!!! What is a life without PASSION?????? Agreements with people is no marriage. It will never last. Don't you deserve more??

Oh, that's a weird community huh?! It's like forcing you to believe in their beliefs. I don't like such kind of community. I belong to a religious group (the Seventh-Day Adventist Church) and we strongly advocate "Freedom of beliefs and religion".
