Is there a great chance for a working person to hone her musical ability?

Music is such a powerful form of art for me. It is the music that saves me from boredom. When i was 12 years of age i decided to learn guitar to break the silence of my life. I enhanced my ability to play guitar on my own, asking questions from my guitarist friends, good thing i learned the basics quickly, but as time goes by i realized i still wanted to learn more and become very good at it (ambitious...) yet i can sense now even how hard i push myself to learn i find myself slow in learning, now. i tried to use the internet for improvement but i found myself lame already, unlike before...I easily forget the keys needed for the song and the worst thing is i have a poor memory now in remembering the lyrics of the song... =( *I cannot cannot afford to join a guitar lesson and pay the maestro for his generosity, yet am still tenacious to the fact that i really still wanted to improve my skills... Can the work be the barrier of improving one's skill? what about you how did you manage to improve your musical ability? Can u share it with me? Thanks ahead and God bless... =)

I have really no musical ability aside from singing. I think I can sing well. If there's a will there's always a way. Why don't you try spending 1 or 2 hours of your weekend time for learning music. There should be a school out there that can offer that. Try it. There's always a chance to hone musical ability.
