I know exactly what you mean! I have never paid more than 25 dollars for a pair of shoes. But I have been saving up to get a pair of sneakers that are 100 dollars. That amount of money for shoes blows my mind. I just don't have the money to spend for that. But because of my horrible back, the shoes were recommended to me. I could almost "feel" the relief I would have once I was able to buy them. Well, I have enough money now, but I can't bring myself to buy them. I'm like, can I really spend this much money on shoes?!

No, I don't. But I have a cousin who has scoliosis. She has had to have a couple major back surgeries, and will have another next month. She's only 16 too. Has your mom had to have any surgeries?
I injured my back and neck in a car accident about 11 years ago. A man wasn't paying attention, and he ran me off the road. I went through a fence, and my car flipped several times, landing upside down. I had a seatbelt on, so it saved my life. But I had neck and back damage, along with a burn on my upper right arm.

yes.. i often feel that way...
one time, i wanted to buy a new celphone but i havent really decided what particular unit... i already have the money but my friend told me to think before i buy or i might end up buying the unit i would not love... i told her no, if i wont buy now, im positive i wont be able to buy a new phone all... still i took her advice... and like what ive said i wasnt able to buy a new phone... tsktsktsk...
that's one reason i sometimes do impulsive buying or else i wont have it at all.. lol

I'm happy that there were a few mylotters who have undergone this experience or feeling. Most of the time, I just ask my relative or friends to buy the thing that I want but using my money because I don't want to waste my time into going to malls and end up going home with nothing. It bothers me because it's like I'm forfeiting the purpose.

Sometimes the same feelings like you probably.:) Maybe we just want to enjoy the process when we achieve our target or dream. We fancy the feeling that we get closer and closer to realize our dream .We needn't spend any money or practical cost at all,all we get is just gains instead of loss according to our efforts. But when we have saved the right amount, that means perhaps we would cost all we have got,and that makes us feel reluctant without any doubt.Meanwhile,it is also the end for us to make efforts on something, which exactly makes us fall into the feeling of empty again.

I am too shy to accept your admiration. Greatly happy for me to hear your affirmation.:)

Lol I always feel the same way almost immediately every time after I buy something. I suppose it's because I don't feel like money earned from working or saving, I'd rather spend from something I won from gambling or somewhere else that I got it easy, maybe a lucky one big time deal or something. It doesn't feel as good if the spending budget comes from somewhere I worked so hard or earned for so long. Money won is a lot for me than money saved, I guess. A lot more fun to spend, definitely!

Yes, I got into a point when I was really doing massive saving to buy a new cellphone. I always thought that new cellphone is something that is really necessary and important for me. When I got the money to buy it, my outlook changed and I have thought of a cellphone as just a waste of my money and really not necessary at all since I can still use my old cellphone to do things. It's a good thing though because the money I saved up goes to some other good things!

Yes I've been this kind of feeling many times.. Sometimes when I'm finally save enough money to buy the things that I want to but it's not really needed then I use the money for other things.. But sometimes when I really want it I will buy it without thinking twice..

Hello eLsMarie,
Well, if it's not worth, why buy it. as for me, i have similar stances that i gotta think twice what am buying. but most of the time, i couldn't help it.

Yes, it happens to me all the time! I actually think it is good in a way, it stops you from making purchases that aren't really necessary, so it can't be a bad thing!
