I am a old school game player. I have played game boy color, play station 1, play station 2, the original Nintendo console, and much much more. Now, I was thinking of becoming up to date. I want to buy halo 4 for my PC.
My computer specs are of the following:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual
Core processor 4200+
2.20 GHz, 960 mb of RAM
Is this enough to handle Call of Duty 4 without severe lag?
ALSO! What is the difference between Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, and Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2, and what is the Resurgence Pack?
Thanks for anyone who clears this up!

Hmmm, the only thing that worries me is your Ram really. It also depends what video card you have too; what kind do you have?

Yeah, I figured my Ram was pretty bull... Hm, I have
HP w19b/w19e @ 1440x900
nViidia video (HP)
If you need anymore info, just tell me. I got everything about my computer.
Do you have any recommendations of my PC? Can I improve its Ram or something, or would it be less expensive if I just bought a gaming computer? You response really matters to me at the moment!

Ya, I don't think that video chip is going to be able to cut it. I couldn't even play medal of honor airborne on my one computer, and it had a decent chip with pixel shader and everything.
I had to get a video card to be able to play that game, as well as call of duty world at war. It cost me a good 100 dollars, was 1 g, and was a 4000 series ATI Radeon. I also would reccomend at least 2 g of ram, if not 3 or 4 at least. I think Ram is not so important when dealing with most fps games, but it is good to have at least 2-4 so you are safe.
You could probably upgrade your system for about 200-300 dollars I am thinking to get it to play those games. I myself though, would just purchase a new gaming one for like 600 dollars, and then sell off the old one even if you are on a tight budget.
P.S. I found Call of Duty World at War to be 100 times better than COD modern warfare 2.

There isn't much difference between the two modern warfares but new one does have some new things. You can ride snow mobile, some enemy has shields like in counter strike and there are some big solders in anti bomb suits that are a bit harder to kill. All cod's are just awsome!
