Why Do You Worship God? Is it because It relieves you of responsibility? eg. If the Religious leaders tell me that what I'm doing Is okay then I don't have to worry about it because he told me I was doing good, So I don't have to think or question anything.
Or, Do you worship God Because He's Just, Or because you Love Him?
What Reasons do You worship God?

We see so many priests in Churches, in temples, mullahs in Masjid. They all claim they are serving God. To some it is true. We serve God not alone by worshiping him but by serving his purpose. His purpose is to make this world a better place to live. What is the use if we worship God, and turn this world into Hell? What about those people who are killing others in the Name of Jihad. They too worship Allah but they are turning this world into living hell. I worship God because I have learnt that chanting his name brings in me a sobering effect. His memory subdues my evil nature. He protects me from committing sin. If I remain under his grace and his benevolence, he takes care of my day-to-day problem. In Him, I find my happiness. That is why I love him.

Numerous thoughts crossed my mind when I read your discussion. Answering your specific question, I worship and love God because He first loved me and gave His only begotten Son to die for us, that we might join Him in Heaven. We are all born sinners and could not join God without His FREE gift of Mercy, giving His Son, Jesus. My faith in God is not based on the issue of responsibility, in fact God has higher expectations of me as a born-again Christian.
My faith is based on the Bible, not earthly religious leaders. I do gather with other like-believers and we share our faith, worship and pray for each other.
I have a tendency to be very concise in my responses.
