I used to be an avid reader of Japanese manga comics, translated into English obviously, but I stopped a while ago because I lost interest. Now the interest's back but I'm really lost. I have no idea where to start or what to start with! :) Any tips or suggestions? I like shounen series with a hint of romance, mostly but I won't say no to pure romantic manga series either :D

I'm not necessarily into manga or romantic manga, however, here are some titles you probably already know of:
As far as I know, these are just shoujo with romance...
Vampire Knight
Absolute Boyfriend
Kare First Love
MARS
Naruto is the only shounen manga I can think of with 'romance' in it.

I used to like Vampire Knight too, but he kind of started to stray away from the main plot, so I stopped reading. His artistic ability is amazing though.
If you haven't read Love Hina, I would highly recommend it. It's a comedic romance. Great series. It's one of my favorites.
Chobits is one of my favorites too. It involves technology and romance.
And lastly, I'm still in the process of reading is Chibi Vampire. It's most known by the name, Karin. Apparently the amine isn't too good, so I wouldn't recommend seeing it. It's also a comedic romance. I'm on Chapter 15 as of now.
Good luck!

Oh no problem! I'm actually not really big into manga. My boyfriend is. He recommends a lot of them of them to me and I ended up loving them. I've just read three chapters in Chibi Vampire (Karin) today. I hope you like them!

Hmm...I guess I'm just the opposite of you at the moment then. I haven't been paying much attention to manga lately. But if you're looking for some shounen series with a hint of romance then you should try Rave Master or even Fairy Tail. You can also try Busou Renkin and Rurouni Kenshin. Oh, try Basara too. It doesn't fall under shounen but there's plenty of action and romance there.

I been an avid fan of Naruto and constantly checking the new release each week as they would have it weekly. The lastest manga episode I have seen with this series is the shipuuden 498, the story gets very interesting as the lonely orphan gets to see his mother for the first time and gets to know his parents love story. It's a great story of romance, action, comic and friendship.
