I had that problem when I was pregnant. If I ate peaches or bananas it would help me.

I have a problem with my legs also they ache and my knees get stuck if I have them at a certain angle while sleeping. I take vicodons and somas and motrins it helps somewhat. Talk to your doctor and ask him if he can prescribe something. God Bless

Okay, sometimes Magnesium supplements and/or Calcium supplements taken with vitamin D can help. That said, if this persists, or if the pain is severe, get thee to a doctor. In fact, if this pain has been persistant or severe already, go to the doctor first, before trying the supplements.

We try to eat bananas every day, and other fruits as well--for potassium, magnesium, and dairy for calcium. Eating our vitamins is first choice. We do also take supplements. Other things that help are to be sure to do stretching exercises for your legs, like wall pushups, that stretch out the backs of the calves. I know I feel more optimally healthy when I get 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Magnesium is also in seafood and beans. I used to have bad headaches but they improved when I started gettting more magnesium in my diet, and then also the muscle cramps disappeared too.

When me or my athletic sons have gotten leg cramps, we're usually dehydrated. Drink lots of water. I'm talking at the least 2quarts - 1 gallon of water in increments throughout the day, each day. It'll help you maintain hydration and the leg cramps should dissipate. If they continue after doing that, try stretching out your muscles and maybe taking on walking for 30 min or more a couple days a week.

I get the same thing. They do have pills for it. I dont take it. The best thing I am able to do is use a electro stimulator on mine. I got one for after my last knee surgery. Putting a pillow between ur knees helps alot. I also find if I take a hot shower it will relax them more at night. Also I bought a foot bath massager. That will vibrate your feet along with your legs. It will make them more relaxed at night.

I get these sometimes too. Stretch your calves a little before bed. Eat a banana every day. Don't sleep in anything tight like spandex. Put a pillow between your knees if you sleep on your side or elevate with a pillow if you sleep on your back. If you start cramping put both hands against the wall and stretch lightly.

i get leg cramps all the time. there are a number of medical reasoning behind it but the most common is low potassium or some other sort of deficiency. as with what everyone else has posted...bananas are high in potassium...also try taking a multi-vitamin. another natural way is to drink goji berries...there are lots of natural antioxidants in them that help with immunity and the sort. you can get goji berry juice or some equivalent at most organic foods groceries...try whole foods, wild oats or sunflower markets. hope these improve soon!
