Ladies, Engagment rings???

I did get to pick out my own ring. It is called Aloha! I love it...My husband I guess did have a bigger and nicer one picked out but the price was a bit bigger also.

I picked mine out both times I got married. This last time I didn't really want one, but my husband wanted me to have one. I would have rather taken the money to Atlantic City and played craps... But I do like my ring :)

I got to choose my ring. He could not affard a lot. so I got a little one. But in 5 years when we renew our vows he says that he is going to buy me when that suits me better. I do like the ring but I would have loved to have something a little bigger. But it is really the thought that counts. I would much rather have a samller ring and not be indept at the start of our marriage.

I am not engaged yet, but my boyfriend keeps giving me hints, as of noe I am 22 and he had givin me a promise ring, but now he is giving me hints! I hope he lets me pick mines out but if not he has very good taste!

i like surprises so I would not like to pick the ring myself.. more than that my husband ( now) has excellent taste!! So , the ring I got 4 years ago was beautiful!!

I never got an engagement ring. My husband and I really didn't have much money when we got married. I love my wedding band, though, and I never take it off! (It is white gold, by the way). My husband always says that he feels really bad about not having gotten me a ring, but I think it was better to start our new life without a ring, and without a huge debt to a jewelers! We will get me a ring someday.

DH proposed with a diamond, and we got it designed the way we liked it.

i think you can always get it designed or redesigned.

My husband picked mine out, although we went together to do it. The funny thing is that it wasn't one that I would have picked for myself, I only tried it on because he asked me to. Once I saw it on my hand I loved it. I picked out the bands that go with it.
