Thank you for sharing, good for you for retaliation, sometimes you have to resort to violence when you are pushed into a corner!

Yes I was from primary school right up until I left at 19. I just didn't seem to fit in as I wasn't a stereotypical anything. One of the deciding factors in our decision to homeschool our daughter was the fact that both myself and my husband were bullied and no one did anything about it except to say "Ignore them and it'll go away". My experience was ignore the verbal bullying and you get a smack

Yeah, I was bullied practically every day I went to school, and it didn't just stop with being bullied at school, the bullies would taunt me if they saw me in town .. the would tell my mother I had been doing things I shouldn't .. and I hated both my school and my mother for never doing anything about it .. especially my mother as she obviously didn't believe me .. in fact I can remember a time when I got home late after being punched and hitI even had a black eye .. and she STILL didn't believe me .. and she wonders why we aren't close grrrrr

I dont like to tease my fellow student in connection with their weakness. It deply hurtsthem and actually I was a good friend to them.I alwways stood by the side of the weak and I was very humble in my school. Many students liked me and I was their best friend.

bull - bull
fortunately for me, I've never been bullied in school.=) As for those kids who loves to bully others, yup, I agree. They're COWARDS. they don't pick on kids that they know can defend themselves, they always choose those who are smaller or like in your story, handicapped children so that they can do pretty much what they want. For me, these children should be taught a lesson, I don't know how but I think schools should come up with something that will punish these unruly people!

In my school, the teachers were as bad as the jocks. If I hadn't gotten such good grades and didn't have jocks in my family, I'd have been screwed. The redheaded kid always gets picked on. Plus, I was a runt. Tell ya what, getting jumped by groups of boys and big girls made me fast. The teachers liked to join in and make little comments like they needed the approval of their precious jocks. If it wasn't for me, some of those jocks wouldn't have been able to stay on their teams...go figure. If I had a buck for every time I got chased home from school for being "ugly and redheaded" (their words, not mine), I would have no need to work other than to keep from dying of boredom...same with studying, I can only go so long without learning something before I get bored. Sorry you got picked on, man. But, from the looks of it, you still have your physique and your hair and that will be the last laugh on those that picked on you, trust me on that.

Thank you for that. I only wish I could go back and face those bullies now but trouble is I think I wouldn't be able to control my anger. If only I had the physique I have now, then, I would make their lives a living hell like they did to me.

Thank you for sharing, good luck with college. I found that when I went to college, things were very different, as they take a different stance on bullying and bullying is less likely at college stage.

Sorry to hear you were bullied at school. I think Bullying is still one of the most minimized and persistent problems in our schools today. The sad thing is its a reality for nearly all children, whether they are victims, witnesses or they themselves are the bullies. We all need to recognize that bullying can have a terrible effect on the lives of some young people. All too often people still dont take bullying seriously untill something sad happend and its on the TV news again. At least now a days you can find help on the net when you need it. http://www.childline.org.uk/Bullying.asp
