Fibromyalgia

Does anyone else have fibromyalgia? I feel very lucky compared to other people I know that have it. I take celebrex 200mg 2 times a day and tramadol at bedtime and if needed during the day. I also take allupurinol. I am able to work part time and to function in my daily life-so far. When it hits bad though it is unbelievable how BAD it makes me feel. The fatigue is horrid. I have had the Drs. tell me to exercise but I don't have the energy to and it hurts too bad. I'd like to talk to other people that were "blessed" with this affliction.

I am "blessed" to be right there in the same boat with you. It absolutely amazes me at the number of people who just don't know what fibromyalgia is...doctors included. I cannot take tramadol within 3 or 4 hours of bedtime or it keeps me awake, so it is strictly a daytime med for me. The fatigue really is awful. This week has been better than most. Oh, my favorite is when the drs tell me to exercise. I had one to insist that I walk 30 minutes a day. I found a really good water aerobics class that I can get though, so I did that instead. That wasn't good enough...I hav since changed doctors. There were other issues too. I feel fortunate because I am able to keep pace at my job (so far). This has been a true eye opening experience for me.

I don't have it, but I have a good friend who does. --- --- --- "I certainly think Britney Spears is the devil. The way she projects herself and the fact that she is so obviously vacuous. I think it's such a shame that she became so influential to very small children." -- MORRISSEY --- --- ---
