There is no doubt football gains more popularity or have more crowd then cricket. But with the introduction of T20 Format in cricket do you think it will surpass the football in popularity and will attract more attention of the crowd then football..What is your perception over this..?

Friend cricket won't surpass the Football forever. Football will be the top most game in the world and it will be number one game in the world. In cricket batsmen can score four, six and bowlers can get wicket easily but here in Football the whole team player should struggle and should give good performance to achieve or to get a Single goal. This is very nice and interesting one.

I think you are big fan of football that's why you have written some meaningless thing if in cricket batsmen can score four, six..etc..then in football only one things happen score goals..another point that you have mentioned and can't stopped myself from laughing that in football whole team should do struggle..what you think in cricket only individual do struggle and other go to sleep on the bed. hello friend i remind you in every games or sports Teamwork is needed without it no one can win the match..The main reason of having more crowd in football is that the involvement of the team there is about 32 country team who took participate in Football and in cricket only 10-12 team means more country involvement more audience..i think you will get me..what i trying to say...think about it..
But some point that you have mentioned is really a jokes to me..still i'm laughing..you have written that without any sense..

I am a cricket crazy Indian and I have no proper knowledge about football. But to the best of my knowledge, football is very popular and it'll take the T-20 game atleast 25 + years to equal the popularity of football. In countries like Argentina or Brazil, I think its easy to become a president of that country in comparison to a manager or coach of the national football team. EPL is a religion for many. Cricket outnumbers football in the Indian Sub continent and IPL has got a huge popularity in a such a short span of 3 years and I think it'll be 25 years for both the sport to get equal status

Cricket and Football two very different sport and Football is the most watched and Most Played Sport in the world .
Cricket is just gaining popularity and is evolving to make the game more interesting and make people come to watch .T20 is just a evolution.
Going by present situation , Cricket needs a hell lot more to do and cover up to come to terms with football , but it's not impossible .
For cricket to become a sport like football ,they should start spreading awareness about it from the grassroots level and a decent club based format should evolve , which makes fan following much easier .
Also Games should be interesting and should have a even duel .
ICC has a lot to do in terms of introducing the sport to other nations .
Maybe T20 is the solution forward in making games shorter so that people don't get bored and also getting to see interesting duels in a short span.
Almost all sport except cricket , i suppose last only to a max of 3 hrs. There liest the weakness and oppurtunity for cricket to evolve.

Football is more popular than cricket now.
But if introduse more T
matches ans tournaments like IPL it will gain more attention from the people all over the world.
the main difference between Football is the TIME.
Football only requires 90min to complete a match, but cricket is not like that.
But T20 format is only 3 hours ,so it have the chance to overtake football.
But i dont feel that it will happen.
