I will be bringing my son home from the hospital soon. I'll pretty much be home bound until he fully recovers. I am used to doing a lot of running (outside). I think if I can get a couple of real good work out videos it will help me stay in shape during this "down time." Can you suggest some good, well-rounded workout videos? -- Oh.. they can't cost a fortune either!

YouTube as a lot to offer, from work out video to education and i suggest even funny movies to make you laugh. There are some nice exercise , you can plan each day what to do. But maybe try to take this time like a resting kind of growing tome. and learn something new. Oil painting is a hilling exiting relaxing exercise for me, may you try it, or, write something interesting.
The most important is to be happy with this new situation and make your son happy. I hard that when you happy you hilling quickly, jokes, funny stories, so on.
Good Luck.

Yeah, I've heard that about funny movies. I may try to do some of those to help a lot. But I have to get some cardio in! This has been a 19 month journey so far. Bringing him home for the rest of the recovery is only part of the journey. I've been with him in hospitals, nursing homes and now a rehab center. Don't know how long he'll get to stay there. Not too long I am sure. Then I have to have the energy and mindset to take care of him. IT's a tough job, but I am determined!

Make sure that you eat good nutrition, and vitamins, and very good sleep, this can strength you ant let you carry everything that you going through. Also show him the funny happy movies make him laugh. Nice music, yoga or meditation, just take the time to relax and get stronger for tomorrow.

Do you like music and dancing? You don't have to be a great dancer, but if you have good fast beat music and you move to the beat, that is great exercise.. This is what I do for fun, but also great when the weather is bad and I can't take walks..

I am not a dancer at all! I like music though! I wouldn't know where to start to even try to dance. I would run out of ideas. Unless of course, it was directed by someone on a video or something.

There are many videos on youtube you can search for different styles..I recently looked up zumba, because my sister lost a lot of weight doing this..I figure if I can do a little zumba along with the dances I know,I can loss some weight too..:)
