Not too many things manage to cause my blood pressure to rise except when the person I am talking to is not listening! Grrrr!! It is so rude and ignorant! It is a pet hate for me since childhood because my mother is renowned for not listening and actually looking away while I am in the middle of a conversation!

Hello Bal, ironically driving has the complete opposite affect to me, when my blood pressure is up, I am stressed, angry or upset then going for a drive actually RELAXES me! weird I know! Once I get behind the wheel of my car it's like a big weight has been taken off my shoulders, I can't describe the feeling and if anyone cuts me up, or road works, it doesn't bother me, added with music it's bliss! What does get my blood pressure up is screaming kids and barking dogs! I like peace and where I live it's hard to get, it's like a dogs home around here, with all the dogs barking and why do kids have to scream???? constantly! I have to shut my windows and in the Summer it makes things even hotter, another thing that raises my blood pressure is the unbearable heat! I am far more relaxed in the cold than when it's hot.

You got a point there.I like to drive after a ling days work with the music and air conditioner on.It is a bliss.Well when you get held up in a mad traffic jam it is really the opposite.
If you try driving in our Indian cities you will never like to drive again in your life.I can swear on that.

My blood pressure rises when I do not take antihypertensive pills.

Hi Bala!
Yeah very true! Like you, for me too driving through the busiest of roads in the Capital city and negotiating unruly traffic and uncivilized motorists, who do not follow the traffic rules, makes me lose my temper and this results in high Blood Pressure. Even if I am driving in my lane and in a controlled manner, others do not allow us to drive peacefully. Driving sometimes makes me temporarily insane...............lol!

Advice and criticism are available abundantly and free in our country.
I have learned to ignore them and mastered the art of posing as the no nonsense guy to those criticizers.Unwarranted remarks and criticisms really make me climb up the walls.
I can understand how you feel abut your precious son.A person born to parents like you definitely needs no advices from any undeserving person.

Same as you do, it is driving through the traffic here that raises my blood pressure instantly. I drive myself to school and I go out out of the house an hour before my class and even though school is just 20 minutes away, sometimes because of the heavy traffic, it'll take me almost an hour to get to school and I do get late at times no matter how early I left home. Traffic sucks because some drivers are too inconsiderate to give way. That's about it.

Hi Balasri, a lot of things gets me really worked up! Driving itself is okay, but when inconsiderate drivers start cutting into your lanes or hogging the fast lanes or jumping queues - all these drive me crazy. Rude and inconsiderate people, especially those who do not wait for their turns at queues are also contributors to my stress. Similarly, inefficient and imbecile customer service and sales personnel get me mad!

what raises my blood pressure the most and the fastest is witnessing random acts of stupidity.
I have very little tolerance for stupidity and I am finding that as I get older that tolerance becomes less and less
