Lavasa is free India's first planned hill city. One-fourth the size of Munbai and located in the pctureque landscape of the Sahayadri mountains , the city is a 3-hour drive from Mumbai and an hour's drive from Pune. This city, built amongst seven hills and a 60km lake front, has been desigged for man to live in harmony with nature. In fact only 30 percent of the total area has been earmarkedfor development with 70percent of the city left for nature. Lavasa has been designed on the concept of new urbanism and environment senstivity. The city will have a wide range of residences to fit any budget across socio-economic classes. Aimed to be a 365-day economy, a complement of global leaders in the fields of hospetality, health, education and tourism will be setting up their institutions at Lavasa. It offers a diversity of work possibilities designed to appeal to the IT and biotech industry, KPOs and R&D compavies , as will as the world of are, fashion and animation.Lavasa offers tourists a rich and varied holiday experience. Whatever your interest, whatever your needs , whatever your budget, Lavaasa throws up a choice of options . The choice of hotels renges to service apartments. Leading hotels like Fortune Select, Ekaaant and Waterfront Shaw service apartments are some of the choices here.

Lavasa is a nice & beautiful place with an lake surrounded by hills. It can be a nice short break particularly during the monsoon or winter. It's a nice cozy place away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city and a beautiful scenic place where you can enjoy the serenity of nature. We found one of the good hotel "The Waterfront Shaw Hotel" which is located on the most prominent location of lavasa . Hotel has accommodation facility and has multi cuisine restaurant option . one can also enjoy the water sport like boating etc..
we really enjoyed the time well here and may like to go back again..

That sounds really interesting. I have been to New Dehli and Mumbai once. They are beautiful and very impressive cities of course. Lavasa is very new to me. This is the first time I hear about Lavasa. Thank you very much for your posting about Lavasa. I hopw some day I will have the chance to visit there. A waterfront apartment would be a nice place to stay.
