HELP: Is it free to access a paypal account?

Just wanted to know if there's a fee for opening a paypal account? I haven't had a paypal or alertpay before and I wanted to open one now. But I'm hesitating because I don't know if tehre's a fee/charge or anything, and how can I pay them, if there is and how much???...thanks.

It is free to open but you will need to verify your account which can be done in a few ways, depending on your country. Thats also free

Oh thank you teamcholent for that added information about verifying my account. I'll just think about that in the future, for now, I'll open up my account first. Thanks for the help, really appreciate it. :)
