I just got an interesting phone call asking me if I was interested in writing a will- I am only 21, but I am married with a baby on the way and it got me thinking about whether or not I need one! I don't own a home or have any assets...yet!
When did you write your will? Why did you write you will? Do you think it is right for people with no assets to write a will for simple things like to give your husband your wedding ring, to ensure your partner gets custody of your children, to ensure your parents get something sentimental? Or even to make sure someone gets absolutely nothing...!

Yes, we have wills. We had them written when we were in our early 30s & had 2 young children. We wanted to ensure that the surviving partner would not have to go through any legal proceedings to sort out the finances and so that we could choose who would look after our children if neither of us was around.

I do not have a will. I do not need too as we do not have any assets which needs to write a will and whatever we have it will goes to my two sons only who never fights for anything.

I am 40 and we haven't got a will. We were advised that you only really need to write a will if you own a house or have something substantial to leave to your children. We rent our house and have no assets or savings, so we have nothing to leave besides our possessions like CDs, DVDs, furniture and so on. Of course we will do a will when we are a bit older or when we have something to leave.
