become a writer?

There are lots of things that make a good writer. A good writer for me is one that can captivate my imagination. A good writer knows what his readers want, if you are writing a novel about crimes, you want it to be full of twists and thrills. If you are free lance writer, you use your own words and never steal other people's works. You know how to write sentences, use proper grammar and punctuation.

To be a good writer, you have to be creative. Tom Clancy, Steven King, Michael Crichton, Dan Brown, etc. all have great imaginations; which makes them good writers. If you can come up with the idea for a story, you should start developing the characters right away; have a plan for your characters' interactions and understand that for a story to be good, it must have human drama and emotions in it as well.
