How To Stop Receiving Emails of Friend's Discussion?

I keep receiving emails of discussions started by a mylot member ever since I added her to be my mylot friend a while ago.
In my preferences, I did not check anything about wanting to receive any notifications from mylot so I do not understand why I would receive emails of her discussions. And I receive emails only from her discussions and not from anyone else here on mylot.
Has this ever happened to anyone else here?
Is there a way I can stop receiving these emails or do I have to notify mylot about this problem?

When you add a friend their notifiers are automatically set to 'on'.
Go here and set them to 'off'
http://www.mylot.com/nr/friends.aspx?t=0
and notifiers will o longer arrive when they atart a new discussion.

There was an upgrade at the beginning of the year and seveal new things were introduced. Before the upgrade they were all set to 'off' but users had asked for them to be automatically set to 'on' and that was when it altered.
You can alter them one by one.

Thank you very much. I did not know that when you add a friend, their notifiers are automatically turned on.
It's better if they are automatically turned off when you add them. Is there a button where I can have them automatically turned off?

This is always happening to me, tens if not hundreds a day in my email, and I would want to disable them as well.
