I don't really like swimming a lot since it drys out my skin really bad but I go on the occasion and I can say its a most def. hardcore workout if you haven't been swimming in awhile. Of course its a low impact sport so there's little chance of hurting yourself while exercising, and a greater chance of more exercise since your always working out... swimming.
Just make sure to wear pleanty of sunblock! I went out for half an hour and totally got cooked the other day! lol. Early summer lesson learned for sure!
Have fun and be safe!

Yes. Swimming is a very good exercise. Swimming you'll axercise your breathe control, all your muscles and your blood circulation too. Exercises who make your muscles strong, make your heart strong too. And swimming you'll have stronger arms and legs.
It's a very good exercise and, according to a recent study, is the second sport wich burns more calories.

If I only have my own swimming pool then of course I would have swim almost everyday or always. For me swimming is a good exercise for flexibility and endurance to make our bones strong but this is not for cardiovascular exercise that expecting that you will be slim because of swimming. I mean I don't believe into that but it could happen if you are still doing your diet routine.

I have heard this to also be very true. I myself should start taking in this exercise since i do have a pool at my house. I barely even go in it, but other family members go in it on a daily basis. Now i do my exercises in the shower and i feel like that does some stuff to me. I am in pain today from doing weights and leg lifts in the shower. I am always looking for different ways to improve my body, but dont like to be in the pain im in now, but i guess its life.
I dont need to loose weight but just make some things look better on me.

Swimming is great exercise! it is less stressful on your body to exercise in the water. You can lose weight and tone muscle too.

Yes, it is definately true, I know a lot of people who keep in shape this way. If you are not into swimming, water aerobics is supposed to be good too. (But here, mostly old people do it, so I have stayed away from it for now)
The reason anything you do in water is good for you is that water makes you weigh less, so it is easy to move, it doesn't make you tired (or sweaty of course!) in the same way as the same excersize on land, so you can do all the movements for longer.

I am into Swimming. And Swimming toned my body and I've shredded a couple of pounds. Swimming for me is the best exercise.
