.
Evening time after playing with friends I want to finish no of questions and started with enthusiasm on the same. Time for dinner, ok that is also done, what next – time to back to study to achieve the study target. After 15 minutes, started feeling sleepy and thought of taking a relaxed position for study?, half lied on the bed?. Books on the heart, very close to heart, I will not know when mom will come and keep the books away from my heart?. Every morning mom has same story about study and sleep and extended warning attached with many conditions.
I must admit that during my school/collage days, books were the best medicines for sleeping, most of the time they work better than sleeping pills.
What do you think, do you start feeling sleepy during study ?

Hi Ajay Singh Baghel: Sometimes, books make me sleep but that's when I'm studying something that don't inspire me at all. In general, when I have to be awake I drink a soda or a cup of coffee while studying and it really works for me. At the same time, I would say that I love to read before going to sleep and it has a good effect on me because I'm exhausted after finish and I sleep prety well. Thanks for sharing with us your experience on books. Have a nice day.

My Mom used to give me tea to avoid sleep but it was just for 10-15 minutes . I was not inspired during school days, it was just to finish the certificate and start summer vacation .
I must say reading before sleep is really good for me as well, it will assure a deep sleep .
Thank You for sharing.

I only use the books to read until I get tired . Then it cause me to sleep that for sure after being tired from reading. They are good to do than to take sleeping pills. It is the most natural sleeping therapy. I only put mu books beside me since i have a very restless movement when sleeping so the books stay on my side or in the study table to avoid being rolled over while i am fast asleep.

If the books is really books then its a good way to get a sleep right away. I dont like reading boring books actually because they make me sleep. A few years ago, I read the book twilight and harry potter. Those books are not boring for me so I survived reading them.

When I was in high school, I used to read a lot of paperback and I tend to sleep afterwards. I guess it is because my eyes get tired already. Add to it that I read while lying down so it adds up to the sleepiness. When I read books related to studies, I really make sure not to lie down in bed as it will really cause me to fall asleep in matter of an hour. I think, proper position such as reading in a study table will reduce sleepiness.

Textbooks are definitely awful reading material. I would never try to read for more than half an hour at a time. I definitely like fiction though, and I could read a book for hours on end if it was entertaining and mysterious! :)

yeaaaaaaaaaah count me in Ajay
Books are such a great medicine for sleeping specially the boring textbooks that we got no other options but to study them
Aside of the textbook; the lecturers do great part as well..I had experienced facing a boring teacher during my first semester..she was such a boring lecturer who would drag the chair into the corner and start reading with such a low voice that we heard nothing from her..one day, i slept in her class and woke up with a slap by one of my classmates who was sitting besides me..then, the lecturer punished me by sending me to the detention room, however, the lecturer paid me what she did as I sent her to the detention too!! I reported her to the head of our department

Lol. You are so funny. Indeed, books make most people sleepy. Especially those people who dont like to read, like me. I agree with you, it works better than sleeping pills specially in studying. Whenever I study I drink coffee hours before I start, but still I end up being drowsy. But when I dont have anything study, and drink the same amount of coffee, I cant sleep. lol.
