Aggravated snoring spouse and how do you deal with them.

I am sitting here in bed on my laptop, browsing mylots a bit and really wanting to go to bed after a long hectic day. We have to get up early and drive 6 hours to his mom's house to move her back to the city here and I have already had a day that has made me so wore out and knowing tomorrow is just going to be the same if not worse is not helping me to relax enough to sleep. On top of this my dear hubby is laying next to me snoring away as well as tossing and turning and moaning in his sleep. Then he wonders why I wake up so grumpy in the morning after having to listen to this all night and not getting much sleep. Some nights I just have to break down and take a sleeping pill just so I can get more then 4 hours of sleep. How would you or how do you handle a spouse that snores, tosses and turns, and generally keeps you awake at night? I would simply go sleep in a spare room if I could but unfortuneley we have them all filled up with family memebers who are out of work and need a place to sleep, so that is out of the question. They do tend to stay up late to and some up real early so sleeping on he couch is not a opitition either. I get so frustrated and any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated. His snoring is really unbearable at times ( he doesn't snore every single night thank god, just when he is super tired) but he does moan and roll around all night everynight. Short of tying him to the bed he he what can I do? Thank You Mylotters for taking the time to read.

I've heard of many remedies, but don't know if any work. But, here's a great quip from the late Art Linkletter, "Here's one advantage of old age - when your spouse snores, you can't hear him/her".

My husband snores too but I am not worried about the sound and if its going to bother me or something. I am actually worried about his health because I heard that its not good if the person snores. There are times when he snores loudly so I always wake him up because I am thinking that maybe something not good will happen if he snores like that.

I have heard the same about loud snorrers and I thank god he doesn't do it every night. LOL Actually since he had back surgery a couple of years ago it has not been as bad except when he is real tired. The bad thing is I a usually real tired the same time and I don't get any sleep and he does!!!

my husband would snore when he's really tired and if he's laying straight. i guess my husband's snoring can easily be handled-what i do is poke him gently and tell him he's too loud. it's understood so he will lay on his side...

Thank You for your reply ersan unfortunetley for me my husband snores it just about any position he is in. I can get him to move and he is quite for a bit but then he starts up again. I am thinking for the nights he is like this I am going to have to invest in a good set of earplugs. LOL I do appreciate your suggestion and I am glad your hubby is so understanding for you.
