I had this friend who I treasure so much. I had so much fun until we became workmates. i can see how aloof we are to each other. our work was too stressful that both of us became so demanding. there are times that we are no longer talking. sometimes, i was thinking of quitting rather than losing my friend.

Are you career minded, or would you rather have a friend? These questions are often opinionated and vary a lot so I will just give my own opinion. If it were a childhood friend, and we never talked and even became angry at each other, I would consider leaving my job and looking for a new one, but only if this helps. What if after you leave your job, you don't find another job or you lose contact with your friend. There are many possibilities, and I don't have a definite opinion. My answer varies, but it depends on how good the friend is and how valuable the job is to your family. I hope you sort this out. Good luck.

By the way, the situation you are at with you friend is only a matter of test. To test your friendship.

If your friend is really a friend to you then you do not need to give up any. A true friend will understands you and will never give you options on either of your choices.
