what is the best digicam

im planning to buy a new digicam for my passtime, can anyone suggest me which cam is better and cheaper for starter?

I am using a Sony Cybershot. so far so good. Sony cameras aren't that expensive, but there are other brands that are cheaper.

I bought my cam 3 years ago. the model is DSC-W35. It's not that new, but the quality is good.

The Panasonic FH20 is excellent and only $150 Canon A1300 is okay as well Nikon point and shoots are horrible. http://cheapdslrprofessional.blogspot.com/

Buy cheap Canon series . Serie "A" is with very good quality and it`s really cheap. Canon are making cameras over 20 years.
