i have written three picture books for children. But still they are manuscripts. I used to send them to famous publishers. But they reject them. that is vewry normal in an auther's life As they were picture books I need a lot of money to do self publication. Thank you very much for reading my sad story.

Yes. Keep writing Johnpillai. Determination and persistence are your friends. I wanted to write children's books too but gave up -- sort of.

I would absolutely love to one day be a published author. What I want to write about is I would love to write a novel. I've always had a very vivid imagination and that is the reason that I would really enjoy writing fiction. It is a place where the characters in the book would be able to come from my head and then I would have the opportunity to share them with everyone else in the world. In fact, this is one of the goals that I have in my life.

Nothing specific yet, just something with great storyline and perfect setting and character plot that could make into a bestseller and a blockbuster movie...

I'm almost there wildlittlefan. I've published mostly haiku, haibun, science fiction poems, horror, and science fiction. And this year has been my best ever. So it's time for a book, wouldn't you say. I have five book manuscripts on my computer that I go back to now and then. I have a vampire novel, an autobiography, a Genealogy thriller (my grandfather was kidnapped as a child), a biograpy of my poet friend (I need more of his childhood information), and a science fiction story I've been working on for a month now since this editor told me to write a book about the story I sent her. It is not easy. Most of my life my book manuscripts have been rejected. So I've been trying to perfect these five manuscripts so that not only will an editor buy them, but people will want to read them. Being a math person, I sometimes bore people by putting in too much detail. The way it looks, I may not be alive when my book finally comes out. I hope that's not the case. Incidentally, this editor had me sign a contract to have my story put on an Ipod or something. If it works, then I'll sell him 10 of my stories for an ipod book or something. We'll see what happens.

We lost 3 family members in 2002 due to a stalking and murder. The man received 3 life sentences. That is what I would like to write about. cricket10

Same here. I'm not really much of a writer and my creativity was corrupted by my parents when I was a child. But ironically, I think I would be able to write some sort of fantasy fiction story. It might be hard but I would probably enjoy writing it. Otherwise, I would try to write a biography but describing your own self seems too difficult.

I write articles, but a book? Can't do it. I am too busy to even write a chapter. Maybe I am not gifted enough to write a novel. :-)
